So, I've been scrapping by week number but of course, in real life, the year doesn't end at the end of week 52 which according to my calendar was yesterday. If you scrap weekly, what do you do -- add a few days onto week 52 to cover the whole year or just put those days into the next project?
The one year that I did weekly pages I ended on the end of the month. Normally I do monthly so it's not an issue.
I was doing weekly pages in 2023. January 1 was a Sunday and December 31 was on a Sunday. I did a full page layout for the last day of the year. I had a cover page, 52 weekly pages and the last page was sort of an end page for the album. I actually titled that page "Goodbye 2023".
I usually tack those extra days on to week 52. Unless it's more than 3/4 days, and then they get an extra weekly spread. If I need to use up more room, I put in the list of books I've read that year.
I like this idea. I always have a lot of NYE photos so I could do a whole separate spread that is just an add-on with those photos and any other stragglers.
I'm not sure what I'm doing with the extra days. I pretty much finished Week 52 and we're not doing much right now, so I may just pretend they don't exist or sum them up in my journaling lol. I will see what NYE brings. If we do things and I have photos, I'll either add them somewhere.
I have been doing a double page per month with extra pages for special events, like birthdays, Christmas etc. I go from the 1st of Jan to the 31st of December. Some great points here of just journaling about the stragglers or including the extra days in the first and last week.
I always begin my year with first january. The first days of the year are my first week. And my second week begins the next monday. My weekly project ends at the end of november because in december I made a daily album (from 1st to 31st).
