Oh Friday, sweet Friday!!! Weekend plans?

Normal things Saturday morning: my 9 year old has his football clinic (they are really building their skills - dh says his High school football wasn't this advanced), and my 6 year old has his regular Youth Bowling.

Our 23rd wedding anniversary is this weekend, so dh is taking me + the kids out for brunch on Sunday to my favourite place!

So that means we're heading to church on Saturday night (our church is doing E100 over the next 2 years and it has been fantastic so far). Might be convinced to hang around afterwards for a hot chocolate or a Latte from the new coffee bar that recently opened at church.
 
I really need to get motivated and get some cleaning done and think about perhaps some colour choices for painting. We moved in August and have done ... really nothing..lol!! Other than that, enjoying the gorgeous weather we are having.. maybe a campfire out back!:)

It's more of a side thing these days, but it's still his passion/obsession. He's super into the history and collecting, as well as performing. He's an officer in the Dallas magic club and runs their lectures (and we often have the lecturers stay with us), is president of the 2013 Texas magic convention, and restarted the area young magicians' club, so our kids, especially our son, are getting into it now too. It's defintiey led to some fun and unique experiences! :)

Our Colorado trip group went on a sleigh ride yesterday, two cute little mules and a musher named Aaron. There was a camp with hot cocoa and peppermint schnapps. We actually gave a point and shoot to the musher for the trip. It was 12 women, all with DSLR's, taking pictures of the scenery and then of each other.

Today is tubing, playing pool and a group photo shot and dinner back at the home. Tomorrow is a photo trip to the Ice Castle exhibit.

But the most fun has been just getting together and meeting each other, chatting, looking at pictures we've taken.
 
I feel like this week flew by and usually it's the opposite for me!

We are off to San Diego today to pick my mom up from the airport and we'll stay overnight and visit the safari park tomorrow before driving back home. She'll be here two weeks--yay!
