We are having a Slow Scrap today, starting in the chat room! (link to chat is in the top navigation bar on the site) For those of you who may want to participate and are not in the chat room or if you missed the chat, I will post the Slow Scrap directions here as well. Everyone who participates and uploads a page by 12AM EDT tomorrow (that is midnight tonight Eastern time zone) will receive a prize from the lovely Micheline Martin!

Starting at 2PM EDT today I will give directions every 10 minutes for an hour. At 3PM EDT all directions will be given and you will have ten hours to complete your layout and get it uploaded to the Speed Scrap gallery HERE. Deadline to upload your layout and post here is midnight EDT.

Please remember that layouts must contain 75% TLP product (eligible product can be current or retired product from resident designers, or guest designer product that is currently in the TLP store.)

Here we go!

1. Choose no photos. We are going photo less on this page! So think of something you've been meaning to tell a story about without photos. Write out your story on the side and get it ready. Let's make it at least four sentences long but it can be as long as you want. Choose a kit or a bunch of different products to use to tell your story.

2. Select a neutral background. Add four shapes in a horizontal line across the middle of the background. I recommend not making them too small. The shapes can overlap. Clip papers or journal cards to the shapes.

3. Add the story's words to your page. Try to put them in a place that will draw attention to them. Maybe fill one of your shapes from Step 2 completely with journaling. Maybe you want to cut out or replace part of your design and place the journaling inside. Maybe you can journal around your shapes. Either way, the words should be a focal point of your page.

4. Continue to build your page by adding embellishments. It can be anything. Add as much or as little embellishment as you want, but each one you add to your page must touch at least one of your shapes from Step 2.

5. Add a title. Use two different fonts, doodles or alphas to create your title. You can also add more embellishments to the page as long as they touch your title.

6. Add some paint, brushwork or borders to the edge of the page to frame your design. And then you're done! Please post in our forum thread and in our gallery.

Thanks for all the wonderful pages ladies! Here is the page of mine this scrap was based on:

now I really have to stop procrastinating and get to my real job--good thing I am self-employed!!

I thought all the elements had to touch the shapes??? I'm sure it doesn't matter- I'm just making fun of my inability to scrap without a photo! LOL =)

I participated in the chat and had a great time, but I have to say, my head just does not work with a photoless LO. I am really impressed by those who can do it....but it's just not a challenge I can finish personally.

These LOs are great, and I think it's awesome for those of you who can complete this challenge. :)

I understand Molly! It was nice chatting with you. Hopefully our next scrap will be something you like more!

Great scrap instructions.....it is a downer of a page...but I am doing really good...and so enjoy the process scrapping can do for me.

Love all of these pages ladies! Thanks again for participating. You have all won a $3 coupon to Micheline Martin's store. I will send the code out to you tonight.
