Welcome to October, a time of changes in the weather, in our mood, the beginning of the holiday time of the year. This month there will be 4 weekly challenges, posted on Friday the 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th. Each week we will use the weather to influence our art journal ideas. It may affect your journaling, your photo and/or your page design. OCTOBER MUSE: Weather Week 2: HEAR What do you hear when you step outside? One of the factors is the weather. Is the wind blowing? Do you hear it whistling through the trees? How we perceive the environment, the weather around us, can greatly affect our thoughts, our mood. Do you hear the thunder overhead? At this time of the year I hear the rushing river as the wind blows stronger, there are crackles and snaps as twigs and leaves are falling off the trees. Do you sit inside, snuggled up, listening to the sound of the rain falling against the window or the rooftop? When I am at our trailer, I hear the ping of the rain on the metal roof that covers our trailer and instead of the constant loud noise bothering me, it soothes me, it is a background noise that lulls me to sleep, to relax. What do you hear? How do you feel? Does it affect your mood adversely or does it soothe your soul, make you feel hopeful, joyous, calm? Use this aspect of the weather in your page design, in whatever way you feel inspired. My page was inspired by the sounds I heard while walking along the river, the birds in the air, the rushing water, the wind in the trees. It was all about movement. Please post your layout to the Art Journaling Gallery HERE prior to October 31, 2018 and then post it in this thread by copying the code (at the right of your gallery image) from the box under "Share BB Code". We will draw a winner at the beginning of next month, even more incentives for your inspiration! You can use any products in The Lilypad store, make sure you follow our gallery guidelines. Pages are due last day of the month. If you have any questions, ask here in this thread. Have fun and I can't wait to see how "WEATHER" inspires you.
