Today is No Housework Day!!
images.jpg

I think I celebrated pretty well. I did finish one load of laundry and get it put away, but other than that I did no housework at all. I was out most of the day and the rest I've just chilled. I usually try to get most everything done on Saturdays. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes not so much.

Did you have to do housework today? Do you have a day for chores, or do you spread it out through the week?

Housework.....what's that concept?? Just joking - the only thing I have to do today is garbage/rubbish and recycling as that gets picked up tomorrow - I know once it used to be picked up around lunch time as we aren't too far from the dump but we've been caught out a few times taking it out mid morning of and missing the collection totally so now it has to be done the day before. The rest of the tasks will either be done tomorrow or Friday depending on when my mum and I can go to see my grandmother (my aunt who normally takes care of her financial and medical affairs and visits her regularly has knee surgery this week and won't be able to be as active for 4 weeks so we need to do a bit more visiting).

To answer your question though, I usually do bits and pieces throughout the week depending on my fatigue level that day.

Unfortunately yes. ;) Dishes and vacuuming.

Do you have a day for chores, or do you spread it out through the week?
I spread it out (meaning I put it off until the mess is driving me crazy lol).

Because of my ribcage injury that is still healing I can't do all my chores at once. They are one at a time (broken down into small chunks) and spread out through the day and week etc.

Sunday is normally the day I vacuum and wash the towels. I was at a crop this past weekend and got home about 4:30PM. I emptied my car, started a load of laundry, wet vac'd a puddle off the basement floor (we had too much rain last week!), then put away all of the stuff I'd taken to the retreat.

I still need to do two loads of laundry tonight, plus finish up my taxes.

Drat! I could have used that excuse to do no housework, but I did do some around the house yesterday.

I do not have any kind of good schedule for housework. Basically I put it off until either someone is coming to the house or it gets so bad that I can't stand it! The only room I keep clean is the kitchen. I hate a mess on my counters, so I clean as I'm cooking usually and keep that pretty nice. The rest of the house... well, we live here, so... yeah... :giggle

Like umyesh, I spread it out :giggle. I put it off mostly until I can't handle it. Unfortunately, the whole house seems to be at the 'can't handle it' point, so I've been doing a little bit every day.
