I can't believe we are down to the last two days of 2018! Wow! So, I'm just curious..
Do you make resolutions for the new year?
Have you set goals for yourself, scrappy or otherwise?
Do you have any exciting plans for New Year's Eve?

I don't really make resolutions because I know I won't keep them :giggle
As far as goals, I want to stay on track with PL a little better this year and take more photos.
And New Year's Eve... DH has to work on New Year's Day, so he will head to bed early. Chance and I might head to town for our "Downtown Countdown". They have live music, games, activities, and their own ball made out of old CDs that drops from a fire ladder. It's pretty neat. We've never been because it's always cold and nasty, but this year it's going to be 60 degrees at midnight!

No resolutions etc here. We haven't made any new year plans yet due to illness. We're all nearly better now and will call my parents later to see if they want to join us for dinner.

No resolutions either, for the same reason, Jan. I never keep them, so why make them? :giggle We don't normally do anything on NYE - too many crazies out on the road. We stay home and watch the festivities on TV and it's the one night of the year that DH stays up til midnight. He always watches the ball drop with me. I'm SO touched because he's an early-to-bed guy. LOL

Be careful if you go to your Downtown Countdown, Jan. They have those here, too, but I'm just not comfortable going out into big crowds anymore. There have been some "incidents" downtown and I was approached at our neighborhood Walgreens in the middle of the afternoon the day after Christmas. I went right in and reported it - it really shook me up.

Do you make resolutions for the new year?
Just one: to not make any resolutions. lol

Have you set goals for yourself, scrappy or otherwise?
Yes, get my summer trip albums made, as well as my son's Eagle Scout album and DD's skating album. Also to FINALLY learn to use PSE18!

Do you have any exciting plans for New Year's Eve?
We go to a friend's house for food and to play Crimes Against Humanity. It makes for a fun evening with about 30 people in attendance!

NO I cannot believe there is only a few days left in 2018! This year has JUST flown by it seems!

Do you make resolutions for the new year?
Eh- sometimes, but nothing super serious or anything that puts too much pressure on myself. We in general try to do a purge/decluttering at the beginning of every year & of course we always start out with healthier eating/exercising more! ;)

Have you set goals for yourself, scrappy or otherwise?
I will do another goodreads challenge! It really motivated me this year- although I blew my goal out of the park! As far as scrapping, I really want to wrap up all the 2016 pics (but I usually use MOC to do all older pics I can to catch up!)

Do you have any exciting plans for New Year's Eve?
It's my hubby's birthday- the inlaws are taking the kids out to the lake house for the night & we are going to dinner somewhere (he hasn't decided yet!) We usually end up either here at our house or at a friends for easy going game night or something similar. It hurts too much the next day if we go all crazy like we used to in our younger days! ;)

I don't typically make resolutions, because unless I'm ready for it to be permanent - it just sets me up for failure.

I have a word of the year, and I pray and meditate on it and try to incorporate it in my life. 2016 was redemption, 2017 was transformation, and 2018 was restoration. This year, through prayer, I got "Gratitude".

I do need to get back to being more exercise minded and less couch potatoey.

Glad you are all feeling better!! Happy New Year to you and your family!!

I will probably make sure my oldest son is going and we can hang out with him and his family :) Normally, our downtown is not the best of places to be but there are usually a lot of patrols during events like this. Happy New Year, Cheryl!

Good luck with your goals!! That sounds like a super fun New Year's Eve!! Happy New Year, Jan!!

Good luck with your goals and happy birthday to your hubby!! Sounds like a lovely NYE! Happy New Year, Amie!

That is a wonderful word of the year! I haven't decided on mine yet. Yes, I need to get back on the exercise as well...:compcoffee couch potatoey! Happy New Year, Susan!

no resolutions or choosing a word for the year or anything here!! I just go with the flow...but this year I need to take care of my health, let's see how I'll go...

I'll stay home with my boyfriend, we are cooking some traditional stuff here and watching the fireworks from my window, I live by the beach and the fireworks here are huge, about 15 minutes of show! really excited to see it!!

I'm not making any resolutions but my one little word for 2019 will be "accomplish". There are many things I would like to accomplish in the coming year, both in my personal and scrappy life.

Scrappy goals include organizing and backing up old photos, including scanning old family photos so they are ready for scrapping. I want to art journal more.

NYE will be exactly what I want and need....a quiet night home with my hubs, some snacks and a couple of good movies.

Sounds good! If you have a good sized guy with you - you'll be okay. My oldest grandson is my "good sized guy". I'd feel safe with him anywhere. Happy New Year, Jan!!

We are having friends come to stay for New Years Eve so we will probably have a fun night playing board games.

I do not make New Years resolutions as I usually do not keep them.

I do hope to make 2019 a year for getting lots of memory pages created of my childhood to have printed into an album for my grandchildren to have one day. But I also am doing some online studies in Dementia so I am not sure how much time that will take up. Plus I want to get busy making lots of greetings cards to sell at the Aged Care home where I do volunteer work to raise funds for the residents activities.

Do you make resolutions for the new year? Nope, never did but I do pick OLW (One Little Word) and this year is Curiosity. (I've done well on last year's White Space so I'm going to play this year....see below.)
Have you set goals for yourself, scrappy or otherwise? New things, new techniques and god willing play with PCCS and wean myself from PSE. Walk somehow even if it means returning to the gym (wretched endless rain...)
Do you have any exciting plans for New Year's Eve? We never go out...fine with me...and I may binge watch a show on Netflix or Amazon Prime. Mr. R will be in bed by 9 as usual.

One year another singleton friend and I watched "Schindlers List" (why ever did Ann pick this heartbreaker?) and we drank endless cups of tea that night to keep warm and of course stopped the dvd to pee just as much so it took us hours! I mean hours!

No resolutions for me either.

I have set myself a few scrappy goals though -make the switch from PSE to PS and take a course. Finish my Awake course. Finish my daughter's wedding album and at least one trip album. Create more for the sake of creating not just for assignments.

We are up at the cabin for NYE with dd, her hubby and the baby so it will be a quiet evening for us - maybe some board games or a couple of movies.

Do you make resolutions for the new year?
Nope. I make thoughtful goals. There's totally a difference too! Goals give me something to work towards with room for bad days.
Have you set goals for yourself, scrappy or otherwise?
Yep. My scrappy goals are to continue to tag people and general themes in my photos. I've been keeping current, as well as doing backlog. I need to organize all the scanned photos now. My Google Hub has been showing me some of them, and I'd love to scrap them....if I could find them!
Do you have any exciting plans for New Year's Eve? Nope. Maybe a friends for games, just me and munchkin. That always finishes by 9 - Thank you Netflix for countdown on demad! DH has to work both the 31st and 1st, so he will head to be early. I'll probably send munchkin to bed and ring in the new year with marvel superheros movies, and watching the NYE on the Las Vegas strip on tv.

No resolutions for me, same reason as most of you. I am down to 3 words to be my word of the year, I'm leaning towards Purposely, to live purposely.

Our NYE is always quite, early dinner and a movie. Not much to pick from in the movie category this year, so we may just go home after dinner and rent one.

Going with the flow is good. I do that a lot...or fly by the seat of my pants :)
I love fireworks at the beach! Sounds wonderful!! Happy New Year!!

Yes, I need to do the same with photos! Sounds like a lovely and much deserved quiet NYE! Enjoy it, Rae!!

I so want to do some pages of my younger years as well. I think I need to add that to my goals! Your online study sounds really interesting as does the card making! Happy New Year to you, Anne-Marie!

Love your OLW! I haven't chosen one for the new year yet. We have endless rain as well...I'm so tired of mud!!
Wow that is a heartbreaker for the new year, but :giggle at all the pee breaks!
Happy New Year, Maureen!!

Best of luck to you with your scrappy goals!! I need to do more of the creating for the sake of creating as well!
Board games and movies sounds like a wonderful NYE!
Happy New Year, Jane!!

I agree...goals are better than resolutions!!
Photos are a biggie on my need to work on list! I have a ton I still need to scan! Good luck with all of that!
Sounds like a nice NYE to me!! Happy New Year, Courtney!!

I like purposely. I actually thought about that one. I need to be more purposeful in many areas!
Enjoy your dinner and movie!! Happy New Year, Frani!!

I do not make resolutions. I do choose a OLW and make some mini-goals from that. Well, this year, my OLW chose me, and I don't like it one bit. :giggle

My 2019 OLW is "hustle" so you know it's going to be a rough year but I hope to come out stronger & better & wiser for when I turn 40 in January 2020. I'm starting out by committing to writing every day in January so I can wrap up my novel by the end of the year. This is more than a little crazy considering it's also MOC but I can rest after I'm dead, right?! There is also a women's weightlifting class starting at the Y next month that I'm equal parts horrified & ecstatic about so I will sign up for that, too. That'll get things started with a bang!

With this in mind, my scrappy goals for 2019 are VERY VERY easy: letting go of PL & perfection and creating (on average) 2 pages per week. If I'll be workin' my butt off in the other arenas of my life for the next 12 months, then I need my creative outlet to be f-u-n.

This'll be the third year that my daughter & I head over to my sister's for NYE. We usually put together a Lego set (well, not me -- I don't Lego) and play games, watch a movie, have snacks, and have sparkling grape juice and do noisemakers at midnight. We sleep over and have donuts before we go home in the morning. My nephew has some of his bros over at the same time but we only see them emerge from the bowels of the basement to pee and to eat. :giggle

I’ve kind of stopped making goals cause I get disappointed but my main area i’m focusing on this year apart from getting a job (that’s an ongoing and fairly depressing goal at this point) is be healthy and well, lose weight and exercise more.

As far as NYE plans, well it’s 3 hours til midnight here on NYE, I’ve got my sparkling grape juice and snacks and will watch the live stream online of the city fireworks
