    Hello!

I've been around a bit, but never posted in the LilyPad Forums (which I discovered when I realized I didn't even have an account here....oops!). I'm now here following some of my favourite designers from SO, and I'm excited to be in a new place!

About Me: I'm a mom of two, currently searching for a job....so I'm home bored a lot. I haven't scrapped much in the last 6 months, but I'm hoping to change that over the next little while. In my spare time I also crochet and I'm now embarking on a sweater making adventure, so fingers crossed I'll be able to post about finishing it someday in the future.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Welcome, Gen! If you haven't scrapped in a while you are jumping in at the perfect time! MOC is a great source of inspiration.

Okay so I've actually struggled with it quite a bit so far and I didn't think I would. I picked a pattern from LeisureCraft that is a nice simple open cardigan, but the cluster pattern on it was more advanced than it looked so I started loosing width almost immediately and I couldn't figure it out. After three tries I decided to change the stitch for something simpler yet use the pattern as a sizing and attachment guide. Hopefully some day I'll be able to get the hang of the cluster pattern, but I just couldn't get it right now!

I'm still annoyed at myself, although the sweater will look fine no matter how I do it!

    Don't be annoyed! You're creating :)
I haven't made a sweater yet but I keep thinking I should. I did make a shrug which I love.

Hi, Gen! @Lime_Freckle This is a fun place to hang out ~ I am loving it here. I also love to crochet! I am very slow at it b/c I am a perfectionist and will unravel it all if I think it looks funny. I prefer to crochet afghans b/c I can do those while watching tv and don't have to count or think once my hands learn the stitch I'm using. I highly recommend doing a challenge here! They are fun!

oh I'm a crocheter also..just jumped into baby booties and did a few boot cuffs for quick gifts...but a sweater...eek..my next adventure is fingerless gloves...cause my hands freeze with all the "chatting" I do on the puter. I do hope you stay and make the Pad a home. There is a fun challenge going on in January, it is not to late to jump in...Month of challenges, and each day a new one comes..only 2 days in..come on ya' can do it!

Oh yay!! Welcome to the Pad!! I love to crochet as well...I tend to stick to toques (beanies...I think you call it in the states), mitts and amigurumi toys for my kiddos.
