Yesterday when my uncle rang me to postpone our get together - He beat us to it so I thanked him for letting us know. In person it was on Christmas when I opened my gifts from my mum.​

Gosh, I can't remember the last time I handwrote anything so it would be years since I handwrote a thank you to anyone...maybe when I was younger thanking my grandmother but even then it would have more likely been a phone call or in person thing.​

Email would have been around the 16th of this month thanking an employer for shortlisting & inviting me to a job interview. On social media, it might have been around the same time in the back here or when on Facebook Messenger about a week ago with my cousin sorting out details for the Christmas that didn't happen​

The last time I wrote a thank you note was to a lady at church who noticed my feet don't hit the ground very well in the chairs at our Bible study on Wednesday nights, so she made me a little footstool. It's just a block of wood cut to about 9" to make a brick-shape. It's covered in fabric with a little handle, but it was so thoughtful, I just had to write a note.

  • in person or over the phone or by text message? I thanked my daughter in person on Christmas Day and the day after as we wrapped up our celebrations.
  • via a handwritten note - Last week-ish. I actually hand wrote 2 holiday cards which included thanks and appreciation for 2 of my favorite group fitness instructors.
  • via a note sent by email or through social media - I'll count the text I sent to my cousin to pass along to her elderly Mom for the birthday note she sent -- that was the first week of December. I don't do much social media anymore, nor much regular email correspondence.

  • via a handwritten note? I thanked a friend for her friendship in her birthday card this month.
  • via a note sent by email or through social media? I emailed a thanks to my neighbor yesterday for helping me get church stuff done.
 
I just thanked the bus driver. He helped us get off at the right spot.
I texted my sister in law thanks for the delicious dinner she made us.
A hand written note was the Christmas gift tags family members go to from me.

  • via a handwritten note - a couple of weeks ago thanking someone for flowers for my mom's funeral
  • via a note sent by email or through social media - also probably a couple of weeks ago for the same reason
 
  • in person or over the phone or by text message? About an hour ago. I thanked a friend for a card she sent me.
  • via a handwritten note? A couple of months ago I sent a card to a friend, thanking her for her friendship. (I need to do more handwritten notes... a plan for my "analog" 2026.)
  • via a note sent by email or through social media? Yesterday. :) I thank people on social media a lot.
