It seems that today is Handwriting Day.

Do you like your handwriting ?
Do you like writing ?

A few years ago, I loved my handwriting. Everyone told me I had the handwriting of a schoolteacher. But today, I write less by hand (thanks to computers, or maybe not) and now it's much less pretty, even when I try hard. And since I practice less, I quickly get pain in my wrist.

However, I do like writing with a nice pen. When I was young, I think I received a fountain pen for every birthday. I had a whole collection of them. I loved writing with this type of pen that glides across the paper.
Nowadays, I use a ballpoint pen to fill out my children's school forms or write shopping lists.

Yes I do. I can write with both hands, and both look different.
Do you like writing ?
Yes, although I don't get as many opportunities to write by hand anymore. I don't like typing.

Nope, I never really have.

Not really especially if its for a longer time frame....the side of my hand starts hurting. These days I don't do a lot of writing in any capacity with technology

I'm content with my handwriting. I have had to keep it up a bit, with homeschooling my kids and then returning to work in school.

My hand does get tired when I (rarely) write long letters though!

I enjoy writing by hand; I just don't do it much anymore. I LOVE writing by typing though. I've even become proficient at thumb typing because I journal so much on my phone. I prefer typing on a full keyboard though.

Do you like your handwriting? Well, it's very messy, but it's mine, so yeah I like it.

Do you like writing? I do. I wish I took the time to do my daily handwritten journaling still. I used to do it every day, but I stopped a few years ago. I tried switching to an online typed journal because I thought it would be faster, but then I didn't keep up with it. There was something about having that journal in my purse to remind me to do it daily I guess.

Do you like your handwriting? Yes to the handwriting of my younger self. Not so much for the handwriting of today.

Do you like writing? I will start with good intentions then it becomes a chore and I do less. I bought a journal to use when I travel by writing down all the things I've done on the tours. A lot gets recorded on the first few days but by the end of the trips, not so much is being recorded. Although I still have enough that it makes the journaling on my layouts much better.

I don't know about you gals but I noticed that my mother's handwriting changed as she got older. She had beautiful handwriting and as she got older, it had a shaky look to it. Then when my dad started seeing Martha, she also had nice handwriting. By the time my dad passed away 20 years later, her handwriting was also looking shaky.

Well, that is me these days. When I first write something it starts out OK but gets that shaky look very quickly. And, my shaky writing is not as pretty as my handwriting in my younger days. So needless to say, I don't like to write as much any more because I sometimes can't even read my own writing!

I have messy handwriting and mostly don't like it but also mostly don't care that much. Being a journaler, I wish I was one of those girls who perfected pretty handwriting in middle school But, I've never had the patience to practice. Sometimes if I go really slow and try really hard, it's better. Here's a recent page with my actual handwriting.

I don't love my handwriting but it's okay. I like that it's unique to me.

I liked writing little illustrated stories as a kid and writing poems up until I had kids, so I guess I like writing but I just don't do it much any more.

Awww...your handwriting is lovely. Like mine it's a mix of cursive and printing!

Do you like your handwriting ? I do, and others comment on my cursive handwriting all the time, "Your handwriting is so pretty!" When I was a kid we had PENMANSHIP class every day, so I practiced a lot!
Do you like writing ? I have kept a journal since I was 9, so definitely! I had a few rough years when I had untreated carpal tunnel syndrome, but after I got that fixed, I was back to being able to write for quite a while. The only drawback is the permanent divot in the side of my right hand's middle finger, right beside the nail. I press hard, I guess!

You didn't ask, but I have favorite pens: Pentel's EnerGel Liquid Gel Ink with metal tip 0.7 mm ball! In all the colors!!!
