I love this page from anrobe

But I have no idea what the Myers Briggs test is. I will google it eventually, but I just wondered who has heard of it, who has done the test and what does it all mean? :giggle

It's a personality test. You get scaled on 4 measures: introvert/extrovert, intuitive/sensing, thinking/feeling, and judging/perceiving. Each of those things gets a letter, and you put them together for your personality type. People say things like "I'm an INTJ". It's probably the most used (and overused) test to ever exist, so you've probably heard about it and forgot!

Thanks Lorry. You are probably right. I have done personality tests in the past, but don't remember this one. I will have to take it later just for fun :)

I've used it lots of times, for fun and in classes I've taken that are about individual student personalities. I love that page...my results have changed over the years, as well, depending on just where I am in life. I am an ENTP *Extraverted iNtuitive Thinking Perceiving* and it is pretty spot on for me right now.

One of the undergrad schools I went to (Antioch) made us take the test as part of the admission process. I found it interesting at the time because I was an ENFP, which totally fit me. Only 3% of the population is supposedly ENFP, but at Antioch, a larger percentage of students fell into that personality profile so we all apparently flocked to that college because it fit our personalities.

Thank you Laura. Just did the test....and apparently I am a 'mediator' personality type which I tend to agree with. So interesting :)

I'm such a lover of all things personality test..I've probably taken them all 12 times each.. :) For the one Laura posted, I'm ISFJ - the Defender.

"The ISFJ personality type is quite unique, as many of their qualities defy the definition of their individual traits. Though possessing the Feeling (F) trait, ISFJs have excellent analytical abilities; though Introverted (I), they have well-developed people skills and robust social relationships; and though they are a Judging (J) type, ISFJs are often receptive to change and new ideas. As with so many things, people with the ISFJ personality type are more than the sum of their parts, and it is the way they use these strengths that defines who they are."

Thanks for the link, Laura. I'm still an ENFP. The Campaigner. And my intuitive side is 100%. But the identity thing is a new one for me. Of course my identity is turbulent. No real surprise there. :giggle

This is such fun to find out what everybody is. Seems like we have a good mix so far....:)

When I took this last year I was an ISFJ. 77% introverted. I knew I was an introvert, but I didn't realize it was such a high percentage. I was a Sentinel.

I took the test some years ago and it told me I'm an ISFJ.
But I took the test again today and now I'm an INFJ-T (advocate).

I understand the change over the years. Working in the field I work in (special education middle/high school) I have to be tough as well as understanding and my main focus is on personal growth. I have to be strict and I am now a lot more then a few years ago. I'm not the sweet, kind and warm teacher all the time anymore (even though I can be and I am when the situation is there).

I am INFP which seems pretty close to yours (I am 47% introvert lol) Maybe it's our name .....?

I am INTP - The Logician

The descriptions seem pretty accurate for me (eerily so, actually). My son took it too and he's ISTP - The Virtuoso. Eerily accurate for him as well. It talks about ISTP's being makers and engineers... he's on the robotics team and has said he wants to be an engineer since he was in 6th grade. Very interesting stuff.
