That is so frustrating-- especially because you work there and know the boy who is picking on him. Brilliant idea to talk to the principal and I'm glad he was so receptive and came up with a plan. Yes, kids are mean sometimes and no amount of mothering will ever completely protect our kiddos from those who feel the need to pick on others. However, it's so good that your son knows that you have his back and that he is wonderful the way he is. I know you're worried about the other boy feeling like someone is tattling on him but the thing is, one of the best ways to stop a bully in his/her tracks is for them to know that adults are keeping an eye on them. It's wonderful that your son has such a great relationship with you that he can confide in you about this.
