Happy Friday everyone! Time for Musing #3 When I sat down to think up a prompt for this week I had just finished uploading photos from my camera. We had our first snow this week so I had taken my obligatory "feet shot" to record it. I love taking pictures of my feet for some reason. You've probably noticed since I included such a picture in one of my kits But I digress! The point is this is where I got the idea for our prompt: Where I Stand You are free to take that wherever it leads you. There are lots of ways to interpret the symbolism of standing . . . What do you stand for? Contemplate and explore the values or beliefs that matter most to you. Be sure to put your feet in the right place, then stand firm. - Abraham Lincoln In matters of style, swim with the current; in matters of principle, stand like a rock. - Thomas Jefferson Or you could think of standing in terms of how it affects your perspective . . . A good photograph is knowing where to stand. - Ansel Adams I want to stand as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all the kinds of things you can't see from the center. - Kurt Vonnegut And so many other angles you could take with this . . . . Don't just stand there, make it happen. - Lee Ioccoca If you fell down yesterday, stand up today. - H.G. Wells United we stand, divided we fall. - Aesop You don't have to include a photo of your feet but if you're up for a photo challenge, it might be fun to try! Here are two older art journal samples from my gallery where I've used this theme of "standing": (ps: CD has this really awesome "from where I stand" snippet in her Instagramables pack) And if you'd like some inspiration for taking pictures of your feet, I have these two pages here and here. My team member Anna does this often too: She's got more inspiration here and here and here And a few samples from my team . . . by misslovesscraps by naughtsncrosses by lynning _________________________________ If the theme or a quote or a question or anything about this post inspires you to create something, we'd love for you to share it with us! It can take any shape or form - there are no rules here! No deadlines either. Just post it in the Art Journal gallery and link us up here so we can all be inspired by your lovely work. Happy journaling!
My art journal for this takes on a "twisted" version. Kekekeke!!!! PS: This is also done for the Dec 2012 Scraplift Challenge.
Got my page uploaded! I probably finished a week ago, but DD's been sick since so I'm just getting it uploaded now
The names are above the layouts. I think the one you are referring to is by naughtsncrosses. It's posted here.
