Currently I'm using Spotify Free but upgrading to premium as part of my mobile phone deal. Right now I have one huge playlist. I have a fairly eclectic taste so struggling to sort out my playlists. How have others sorted their music?

I don't. :giggle I just use their stations or I have one playlist with my "favorites" It's all over the map.

I don't have Spotify but I do use Amazon's Prime Music. Like Karen, I don't sort my music. I just play my music on random or I listen to a pre-made playlist (usually their "Top 50 Pop Songs" or a new release playlist). The one type of music I have in a separate playlist is Christmas cuz I don't want to hear that all. the. time. :) So it's in a playlist, waiting patiently for Dec 1. If I were moving around while listening to music then I'd want separate playlists, but since I listen while sitting or (mostly) standing in one place, then I can just hit Next if I don't like a song.

But in iTunes, I have a few lists and they're mostly geared toward genres: it's easy to sort by genre and then I just add all of that type of music to the playlist. Technically I have an iPod playlist: I try to keep peppy music on there so that it keeps me motivated (I listen while cleaning the house or exercising). I don't think I have the patience to break it down any more than that lol, unless I were already on the computer doing something mindless/not time-consuming so I could sort as I heard a song that belonged in a certain playlist.

I ended up just downloading for offline listening some of spotifys lists since im travelling tomorrow

I have all my music in iTunes incl a lot downloaded from YouTube. Since I've had that for years, the music is mostly sorted by genre which check when it goes into iTunes. I have various playlists that synch with my phone so it's all pretty simple. I can also use the music from DirectTv if I'm downstairs and I want music while I cook.

Two playlists I made are 1 called Highway Sounds that starts off with Willie Nelson's On The Road Again. This one has all travel related songs I like for when I'm taking a road trip by myself. Sadly, my car is too old to connect my iPhone to my radio speaker.s. The 2nd playlist is one called 15minutes. I found a bunch of songs that were that long and I use it for those 15min bursts of decluttering or other household chores. More fun than a timer!

I have lists on Spotify (free), Google Play and Amazon Prime. I have multiple playlists based on my mood or who is around. :giggle Like when my hubby is around (and I can actually play music), I have music from the 70s. I have a couple of lists with some 80s music thrown in with some other things. I have lists for dancing, for cleaning, studying, and just happy music. Back when One Story Down was running, I'd create playlists for the chats/scraps so we could all be listening to the same music (at approximately the same time) like a party. So I have several of those with different music. We have the Amazon Echo, so I stream music through that at home, and just realized that I can also stream it through my Amazon Fire box at the beach house, so I'm really excited about that and am going to create more prime playlists now. :)

I have a few different playlists on youTube, of music videos. Otherwise, I just turn on the radio. I use "Rhapsody" (free) when I'm running, and just hit the "favorites" list, which is made up of songs that I'm allowed to put there, that are up beat and/or motivational for me while i'm running.

I have only bought two songs ever (through iTunes, just in the last few months) :D so I don't need to organize yet. I usually listen to music via Pandora. I have a station I called "Kansas" which plays a lot of good classic rock, that's my current favorite. I also have stations for 80's music and The Piano Guys (which plays a lot of fun instrumental music).
