My oldest is having friends over to watch a scary movie tonight. She isn’t very social so I’m glad she’s spending time with friends but not glad she’ll be snuggling with a boy she likes lol

Do you like scary movies?
What’s the last movie you watched at home?
What’s the last movie you watched in a theater?
If you don’t like movies, what do you like to do instead of watch movies?

Do you like scary movies?
Not really but they’re my husband’s favorite so I’ve watched a lot.

What’s the last movie you watched at home?
Up

What’s the last movie you watched in a theater?
Arthur (the dog one) - my family laughed at me because I cried lol

If you don’t like movies, what do you like to do instead of watch movies?
I would rather scrap than watch movies.

The last movie I watched in the cinema was a children's one I forget which, but with my children's medical issues I didn't get to see much of it. So we never bothered to go again.
At home I recently re-watched the Lord of The Rings (I have them on DVD).

It’s been awhile since I’ve watched Lord of the Rings but that’s always a good one to re-watch.

Do you like scary movies? Absolutely not ... I end up having nightmares! I still worry about being stabbed in the shower after watching "Psycho" as a young teen. And "Apocalypse Now" gave me nightmares for years ... didn't allow my xDH to choose movies after that choice, LOL!!!

I did love watching scary b&w movies as a kid ... "The Birds" "The Screaming Skull" ... and, of course "Psycho" ... there was a late night show on Friday or Saturday nights that showed them.

What’s the last movie you watched at home? "Queen Bees"

What’s the last movie you watched in a theater? "Gone with the Wind" ... a local theater shows a different old movie every month. I also saw "The Wizard of Oz" earlier this year.

If you don’t like movies, what do you like to do instead of watch movies? I prefer to stream episode after episode of tv shows. It's funny, but I have a hard time sitting through a movie, especially at home, but I can stream multiple episodes of a tv show one after the other for an entire evening. Weird, right?

I am not a scary movie person anymore.

last movie watched at home? Big Night with Stanley Tucci & Tony Schalub

last movie in theatre? Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes

if we are not seeing a movie we watch You Tube videos re Uk and Ireland plus travel videos

My neighbor always wanted us to watch The Birds but I still haven't.

That's fun your local theater shows old movies! I try to make my kids watch old movies but they refuse lol

I haven't watched either of those movies (that I know of...I'm terrible at remembering movies lol).

I enjoy travel videos because I don't travel much so it's fun too see other places through video.

I don't like you scaring me to believe it's the 31st, and I've lost an entire day! :giggle

Do you like scary movies?
No - really hate them. I don't mind thrillers and gory stuff, it's the startling bits I hate. Even when I KNOW they're coming, I jump right up.

What’s the last movie you watched at home?
Me and hubby saw a movie the day before yesterday on Netflix. None of us remember what it was. It must have been a good movie! :rofl

What’s the last movie you watched in a theater?
Either Maverick or Nell, not sure which came before the other. This means, I haven't been to the theater in 30 years!

EDIT:
now hubby remembered, when I said "scary movies"- We saw the Swedish movie The Conference. It's a scary movie, and it was not good. Or ... it was ok, but I've read the book & books are always better. Also, it's not the author's best book, so ... nope ... not for me

Sorry I never know what day it is Eva lol

The jump scares always get me too! I think they make it fun though because then I finally breathe lol

If it's just scary and it's a good mystery or something I might like it. But the horror genre is one I avoid. I don't want those images in my brain because I will remember them. I can still picture a horrible scene in a movie I watched around 1984 when we first got a VCR. I remember nothing else about the movie except that character falling out of a window and landing on a huge shard of glass. (I made it white in case anyone wants to avoid getting the image in their brain. Just highlight to read.)

I think the last movie I watched at home was The Stand last July. I had read the book by Stephen King a few months earlier and my friend said the movie was good. I didn't love it but it was interesting.

The last time I went to the movie theater was a political event for a local candidate. They showed a superhero movie. I think it was probably 2019, or maybe 2018. I tried to find it in my journal, but gave up. It's harder when I can't remember the name of the candidate nor the name of the movie!

It's not that I dislike movies, it's that there are other things I'd rather be doing. Hiking. Cooking. Playing with my family. Scrapping. Plus, I work full time and that doesn't leave much time for myself. I'm especially not interested in going to movie theaters anymore. Why, when I can wear my comfy stay-at-home clothes, sprawl, be comfy, pause whenever I want, eat whatever I want, etc. But I don't even watch movies at home much. Maybe 2 per year for the last several years. That's not to say I never watch anything. I actually spend a lot of time watching YouTube. I have favorite channels there. Mostly travel vlogs and science and history stuff.

The last horror movie we watched will definitely be stuck in my brain forever and I am not happy about it. :-/ We were watching it edited but forgot to check a box that would've made it much less traumatic to watch. Lesson learned.

I'm with you and there are other things I'd rather be doing, but it's one thing we like to do as a family so that's when I fully participate.

Do you like scary movies?
Yup! They are my favorite! I don't like the gory ones so much, but a good scary one, YES!

What’s the last movie you watched at home?
Pearl

What’s the last movie you watched in a theater?
Civil War

If you don’t like movies, what do you like to do instead of watch movies?
When I'm watching by myself, I usually opt for a series or a true crime documentary. Occasionally, I will turn on a movie.

You're the first scary movie fan!

True crime documentaries give me nightmares lol

Do you like scary movies? LOVE!!! I have loved them since childhood, silent to modern. I just don't like ones like Saw with torture or super-extended sex scenes. My faves are haunted houses, creepy dolls, and scary kids. I love spooky movies set back in time too. I even love watching cheesy ones.

What’s the last movie you watched at home? 1918, a WWI movie. I love War movies too.

What’s the last movie you watched in a theater? Home (2015) with my son on a field trip and before that Necessary Roughness (1991) I don't really like seeing movies in the theaters as I like to craft while watching movies.

We sound the same! Both like Scary and War!

Do you like scary movies?
Nope, I'm a wuss when it comes to that even with books, tv shows etc too...I'd rather watch stuff aimed at kids or a documentary type movie

What’s the last movie you watched at home?

Can't remember....to be fair I hardly watch any movies.

What’s the last movie you watched in a theater?

It would have been pre pandemic and a documentary or true story kind of film but as to what one in particular I'm not sure.

If you don’t like movies, what do you like to do instead of watch movies?

Reality TV or at least clips of that sort of stuff online if it's not available locally.

Do you like scary movies? Nope

What’s the last movie you watched at home?
Modern era, Top Gun Maverick. I had bought it on Amazon in 2022 and finally watched it in 2023 with my cousin following my surgery October 2023. This past March I saw that a movie made from a book I read in high school was on TV so I watched it. How Green Was My Valley... a black a white movie.

What’s the last movie you watched in a theater?
Backdraft in the 1990's

If you don’t like movies, what do you like to do instead of watch movies?
Watch mostly Reality TV. Otherwise, I'll do jigsaw puzzles, read, scrap or lately research my genealogy.

You and Jan definitely sound the same with your movie preferences!

I'm with you and would rather watch movies at home (it's so much cheaper too!).

I'm with you and prefer kid movies! My daughter wants to watch all the kid Disney movies she hasn't seen and I told her I want to watch them with her.
