This is another busy month for cards so I made three different ones this week. The first uses Celebrate mini collection by Anita Designs and is a change of scene card. This was my first time of making one of these, and I'm honestly not sure if I'll do another. I love the kit, but the mechanism can get kinda stuck. Anyone make one of these before and have some tips / tricks? These next two were MUCH easier. I just used the mixed media papers from For Arts Sake #34 by NBK Design and some black cardstock to make them. I used the Make a Wish SVG from Scrapping with Liz's Birthday Cut Outs and cut it from the background paper, then mounted it on black cardstock, and lined it up so that it matched the hole from the background paper, thus giving it an "embossed" look. Again, super fast and super easy! Well, that's it for this batch, but my son and I have 16 more to make for the kids at the local Children's hospital. You'd better hope I don't share them all here bwaaahaaahaaaa!
Another fabulous batch of cards. I don't think I've made a card with any sliders or mechanisms, so I have no tips there, but I have received some of that type and think they are super fun!
I've never made that kind of slider card but some of the pop ups I've made have needed a little encouragement to pop up correctly! That is a super-cute card, though, and I really like the cut-out effects on the others.
Thanks Karen @Karen and Dawn @dawnmarch! After doing research, I found out that I was supposed to use embossing powder. Maybe I'll give it another try Here's another card that I foiled - learning how to use my Minc machine. I think I'm in love
