It's hard to believe it's the middle of November! :dizzy
I don't know about you but I could really use a bonus week before December arrives! It's that busy time of year when the calendar seems even fuller than usual. What's on your agenda for this week?

Besides surviving this Arctic blast - ugh. 12 degrees this morning - it's a busy week. We're getting ready for DYD (Document Your December) here at the Pad. Meanwhile, I am trying to get my house decorated for Christmas. I usually have a hard-and-fast rule to wait until after Thanksgiving but we are going out of town for it, so I thought it would be nice to come home to the house already decked out for December. So, I am working on that in bits this week. I am a little nervous about what our kitten might do to the tree. This her first Christmas and she's quite the mischievous, curious one...no doubt she will be a tree climber. LOL

Mid-week, I have two favorites activities. The first is Reader's Theater with my youngest daughter's second grade. We act out skits to help them practice reading expressively. It's soooo fun. Then, I have a late lunch with my BFF. It may or may not include a margarita. :whistles

At the end of the week, we're taking the teenager on some college visits. Ack. It's hard to even type that out! She's a junior and ready to start considering her options, so we are combining some college visits with our Thanksgiving road trip. Exciting for her. Bittersweet for me. I'll be the one taking pictures and trying not to embarrass her by crying...

i am in quite a pickle here-- just discovered my youngest has l i c e. UGH!!! I know that it isn't the end of the world, but I am in disbelief and gross shock and awe right now. Have the 4th load of laundry going, am letting the dear sleep in for a bit, then have to get going on the comb out. We did the rid shampoo last night and started combing, but her hair is to her waist and extremely thick as well as fine-- we didn't get much combed out last night. I hate this!

Well, my week is already going a bit differently than planned when one of my boys started running a fever last night. We dropped his brother off at school and I have been having an extra cup of coffee in my pjs and he is watching Winnie the Pooh.

This is our last week of school before Thanksgiving break next week, so we just have school stuff, a Thanksgiving feast on Friday with my boys' class, and that is about it.

I feel like I have been in a bit of denial of the fact that it is practically December. I definitely need to start getting my ducks in a row!

Aw Kelly.....yucky but I think most of us have had to deal with that with school kids.

This week is all about organization for me. I need to sort through clothes and get the summer stuff into bins for the closet and sort through for stuff for charity. I need to look through my baby props as I'll have a newborn photo shoot in a couple of weeks and I since I don't often do these I have my props stored all over the place and can't remember what's where. I need to get to the gym a few times, no slacking off. It's going to be a quiet week and I'll spend most of it being a homebody which I don't mind at all.

This year is like POOF - gone. I am just flabbergasted! Where did the time go?
Busy week here with appointments and other fun stuff like spending an hour at the tire place getting a tire repaired and balance and rotation since I am here anyway. I have to squeeze an oil change in there somewhere, since I am overdue and we will be traveling next week. I have been nipping away at Christmas Wish lists trying to get that done before the holiday rush. I have already noticed it's already a rush. Everywhere I go is super busy already. Whew!!

Busy! Busy! Busy!

We don't have much going on today but the rest of the week makes up for it! I volunteer on Tuesday/Thursday at school, take Jason to the dentist on Tuesday afternoon since he couldn't go when the other boys went, take Jason on his field trip on Wednesday since he can't ride the bus, Wednesday is also early release day for the school district.......

Next week is going to be even crazier! In addition to all of the above (ortho appt instead of dentist), Seth and Derek start their indoor soccer leagues

I'm still frantically trying to find my house.

Moving into half the space..even if you get rid of a ton of furniture...is hard.

DH is on call this week which means we're sticking pretty close to home. I'm setting some goals for myself to get some scrapping projects finished up that I've been working on and to finish getting the office/craft room set up.

I'm with Becky, as my week has already gotten off to an unplanned start. I worked this morning and came home at lunch to be with a sick kid. :( That clears up our evening, though, because he can't go to piano lessons if he doesn't go to school.

Tomorrow I get my hair cut & colored... FINALLY! I skipped an appt. for my color so I need it soooo badly! Wednesday & Thursday I have meetings after school. Then Friday we leave for Ohio for Joel's side's family THanksgiving. YAY!!!

And this SNOW!!! It's been snowing all day and I LOVE it!!! (It's also a Real Feel of 5*F... the kids at school have inside recess already. It's only mid-November! :) )

Mostly work. Tonight is date night, although not sure where we'll go or even if we'll go. I'm working from home Wednesday, and then probably doing some turkey shopping Thursday. Other than that it's a quiet week!

It seems that one week rolls into the next, right? Our high school is in the State Championship Football Game this Friday night so a season I thought would be over 3 weeks ago is still going strong, hehe...

Otherwise, normal stuff... piano, practices, church stuff, work, company at the house tuesday night, school, homework, science fair, etc...

Oh, and I'm trying my very best to get my planner chosen/ready for 2015. I'm ready for an organized New Year! That's my goal this week.

tonight will be making meatballs to freeze and browning beef for soup tomorrow. Hopefully I will have some time to open my computer and do some scrapping or planning. I want to try (and complete this time) DYD.

My weekend was full so I will be doing the housework I missed doing then. We are gone away to a hockey tournament starting Friday so need to make some extra smoothies for the boy and some snacks for extra energy between games.

On the work front, school seemed back to normal after our tragedy last week. We had a wonderful assembly to kick off anti-bullying week, full of glow sticks, music and school spirit, I think it was what the student body needed.

A few meetings and training on Friday morning.

Today we are going out for my 2nd son's 18th birthday (which was yesterday). Thursday I have my running club meeting. Otherwise just the same ole week.

MOnday! What did I do to you???
Vomiting kids, racking wheezing coughs! Three of them!! Bad odds! lol Our family doc got them in early, then the merry go round at the pharmacy! Two hours to get meds! eep!
Two girls had hair appointments in the midst of that...I am trying to remember when I said yes to them doing red hair?? I did say it right? It looks good anyways!
Hubby came home to help shuttle those in school home and he went to grocery store, since in the midst of puking kids, I forgot to pull out a half a cow to feed the tribe of children we have here.
Everyone feed, two in rooms with games, one asleep on couch, three on computer, hubby reading. I just finally finished the TREND watch, which is gratitude...and EVERYone better be happy and thankful and play with me OR ELSE!! bhahha
I am gonna unplug and go crochet and read on my kindle and wait for Tuesday!

and oh LICE!!! ah, I am itching now...big hugs to you!

well its tuesday evening here and so far all I have done is sleep and eat, well that was monday. Tuesday was a little better cause I went out to pick up a new ink cartridge for the printers we have here and managed to get the price beaten by a competitor - $26.60 instead of $37. Tonights plan is to finish a very very very overdue assignment and email it before I head to bed. Not sure what tomorrow brings but hopefully some PL time. Thursday I am going in to uni to pick up an assignment

This week is I'm trying to get in a bunch of doctor appointments that I've needed to get done, I'm trying to ward off this cold that everyone else in my house has had, and I'm flying up on Wednesday to see my dad for a week. It's been awhile since I've seen him and I need to make sure he's doing as well as he says he is! ;)

This school year sure is flying right on by. We've been keeping very busy with basketball practices and games lately and my oldest has started after school band practice once a week too. It's been a little (a lot) crazy trying to figure out logistics getting two boys to different games at different locations for the week. Throw in snow to that mix and it's making me a little nuts! Lol! I'm SUPER thankful that we don't have anything planned for the weekend.

It looks like hell in a handbasket.... and I am staying home today. I have a migraine that I can barely open my eyes!

Monday started with hauling the hubby and daughter to the airport. They're flying to the coooooold Northeast to visit family, and by god, I am enjoying the peace and quiet. The only things I'm planning are eating what and when I want, cleaning the house at my own pace, and hanging out with my son and our dogs. :-)

This has actually been a fantastic week as DH started a job this week! PTL! He has a second interview for another better-paying job Friday morning! :yesss:yesss:yesss

Almost as exciting (to me, anyways) is that I have finally figured out the secret to getting the baby (who is now 6 1/2 months old) to nap for more than 20 minutes at a time! He took a 90 minute nap yesterday WITHOUT being held FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HIS ENTIRE LIFE! :woot:woot:woot

I am trying to get the house ready for winter/Christmas this week. I need to go through the kids' clothes and bag up what's too small for Goodwill. I also need to go through DD's toys and sort out what to keep for the baby and what to donate. All that + some much-needed deep cleaning before everything gets dirty/snowy/slushy outside and before we decorate for Christmas means that I can hopefully talk my MIL into taking the baby Friday so that I can get all that accomplished without his 'help.' DD is spending the night with them, so I plan on dropping her off at school, dropping DS off at the ILs', cleaning + erranding, picking her up from school, and then switching kids. DD has the entire week off for Thanksgiving, so I can only imagine how messy it will get with her here all day!

I don't have any shopping done yet, but I'm working on ideas and lists.
