Monday Monday

The week hasn't been great. Some losses in our family in the past couple of weeks and one of the funerals is this weekend, so I'll be busy with family Thursday-Sunday because some of the family is coming in from out of town.

My back has gone completely crazy and I'm having to take a lot of medication just to be able to get up and get dressed. I see the neurosurgeon tomorrow and hope he has a better prognosis/plan for me than the other one I saw recently.

I'm reading quite a bit and I've been trying to work ahead on templates, but I've lost two days this week not being able to be at my computer.

I'm sufficiently dosed up with medication now, so I'm going to scrap and design tonight!

Tomorrow night starts our four day weekend. And it's our 48th wedding anniversary on Monday. So I'm excited we get four days! We'll be going to The Outback for our special dinner on Monday. Other than that I don't think we will be doing much else. We always talk about getting away for a day or two but staying home is always so much easier for us. :) And we need to shop for a new fridge and dishwasher while the good sales are on. Hopefully we'll find what we need. Other than that our weekend should be just slow and easy. I do need to run to the post office to mail a couple of packages. But nothing else is pressing. Although...that could always change...with us you just never know!

Oh, thanks for sharing. This looks wonderful!!

Okay... I just checked that out and I think I'm going to do it!! Thanks for posting it! I like that it's not just about getting the Christmas stuff done, but the house stuff that comes with it done too.

Yay! I hope that you both find it helpful! I love that it's mostly stuff for the house, too, as well as getting a head start on the holiday season. My house is so small that I only have maybe half of the rooms that are in the plan, so if I miss a week here or there, it's not going to hurt much. :)

btw, that "Holiday Grand Plan" sounds like the plan The Fly Lady had to prepare for the holidays.

Yes! I used to do hers before I found this. I switched because I like the depth that the Grand Plan goes into...and to be honest I got a little tired of hearing about Flylady's feather duster! :giggle

Wow! Happy Anniversary, Jan! @Jan 48 years is such a milestone!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: for our 20th anniversary, we ended up staying at home because our finances just did not work out for our huge trip to Niagara Falls. Needless to say, that 10 days that we spent at home - alone (the kiddos went to grandparents for the 10 days) - were so refreshing. We spent loads of time together, really enjoyed going out to eat, ordering in, renting movies, chatting, working on some projects . . . it seriously was the best thing for us and I think that's because there was no packing, sleeping in our own bed, etc. I hope you enjoy the time you spend together, no matter where you are!

Oh, we will. Thanks, Cheryl! I just love having my Honey home with me. Even if we don't do anything. :)

So so true...except now it's the purple rubbascrubba and I really really dislike the color purple! When I'm energetic I do some of her plans but mostly my only thing these days is the 15 minute declutters.
