I KNEW poptarts would be in there somewhere ha! Brilliant blog post :agree Luckily this is my third year of MOC, so my family know exactly what to expect. I am out partying for NYE tonight, but I am looking forward to MOC more :cheer
 
Very well written! I have that tingly nervous anticipation otherwise known as stage fright, which I do not get b/c I am a ham by nature. I'm going to have to put notifications all over my phone with loud beepy noises to remember to take care of all my furry critters and get the mail and take out the garbage. I think I WILL buy a box or two of poptarts! Which, btw, I taught my children how to open themselves at an early age so I could sleep later. I had an early morning daughter and I was a night owl at the time. Anyway, I haven't had a poptart in a long time. I might just eat one!
 
This is my 4th MOC. My first year I completed less than 10 of the challenges. The second year I completed more than a dozen. Last year, I completed slightly over half. I'm improving every year... maybe THIS will my year to complete them ALL??!!

Are Pop-Tarts really the secret?? I'm stocked up on Mt. Dew Throwback (my version of coffee). Ramen by the case has been purchased.

My major disadvantage this year (besides the fact that I have 5 children and 3 dogs) is that I am now employed outside of my home. I am a substitute school bus driver. This means that I am On-Call to cover for a sick driver. I am already scheduled to cover morning and afternoon runs for a driver during the second week of January. This means that I work from 5:30am-9am and then from 1:45pm to 5:00pm. Thankfully, there are no children in sports or other extra-curricular activities until February!

That was a fun read!

I remember my first MOC (after all it was only this year) and I was at the tantrum stage with the extraction challenge. Lots of encouragement in the forum and I finally got it done (and it was a cute layout too).

come on woman, I have 7 kids, and now a DIL and they pop in at dinner time!!! 2 dogs, and my big butt to get outside and exercise!! we can do this!!

oh I think I caused that tantrum last year! eep..but yeah on the adorable cute layout coming from it!!
 
Ha ha ha!! Oh I love your energy! Do they make steak and potatoes poptarts? Im thinking lots of baked potato meals and simple crockpot items. 2 meals a day NO MORE! Maybe less depending on the challenge! Maybe I can use the front bathtub to hold the dirty dishes I wont be able to get too.....Now a place to hide all that laundry that will be piling up....Thinking I may need to stockpile some deodorant at my desk as well since its fairly obvious showers will be a thing of the past! LOL If only I had some of that shower spray that you can buy in The Sims LOL
 
I am trying to scrap the last bit of BYOC... and I have already restored most of my kits from the EHD that died .... even though I had a problem and some folders are empty..... I think I am READYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!

What?????? Is it really true??? The first clue won't be released until sunrise on the east coast? Whatever happened to 12am EST? What do I care actually I'm usually up until that time anyway.

Excuses, Excuses :giggle You've got me by one kid (but I do have a cat to go with my 3 dogs and my DH is very needy).
