MOC Guidelines

One more question - when I uploaded my layout it is too small. I tried to delete it or reupload and it wouldn't let me. Is there a way I can upload a larger version without having two gallery posts?
I think you can load a new page when you click edit on your current page... Let me see if I can get a screen shot.

OK so I don't think you will need a screen shot because it's super easy.

Just go to your page in the gallery. Choose the big pink button Edit above your page on the right.
When you get on that screen just click your image thumbnail and you will see a "choose file" button. You can choose another photo.

Thank you! I will try that. I previously clicked on the edit button and it wouldn't let me choose a file from my computer.

Ok tried again and it still says upload a new custom avatar. Should I click on that?

Yes that's the one. It's strange wording, but that should let you choose a new image.

Sorry I wan't online anymore. Yes that's the spot! I hope you get it to work. Youmight need to refresh your screen after. Sometimes it doesn't show the changes for me.

Thank you @KimJ for the follow-up :beat

@crlin Yay! I can see too that the page has changed. Glad you figured it out.

As long as it is linked to the gallery , size in the thread doesn't matter I think.

If you choose to copy the link under "Share BB Code" it will show your page gallery size (that's the one I like to use. No need for uploading anything, no coding involved, just copy/ paste that in the thread. Easy peasy.

If you choose "Share BB (With Thumbnail) Code" it will be small... I think ( I don't use that one but for MOC purpose I don't think it's an issue).

Good luck for therest of MOC!

I'm sorry if this question has been asked, but I couldn't find it. I know that using collaboration kits is fine. If a kit is a collab, can I use an item from that collab that's from a designer who no longer sells at TLP? I have been using mostly newer kits, but I think some of my older collaborations might have items in them that aren't from current designers.

Thanks so much.

I found the answer in last year's MOC guidelines, so I'll copy what Julie said about it last year. The rules are the same for this year:

If the collab is still sold here, it can be used. If it is not sold here or the other designer's store, it can be used. If it is NOT sold here, but IS sold at the other designer's store, then it cannot be used.

If the collab is still sold here at TLP, it can be used. If it is NOT still for sale here, then the parts from the designer who has left cannot be used. As an example - if you have the December 2021 M3 kit, you can use pieces from Lynn, Rachel or Paula. You cannot use the pieces from LBW.

I know its confusing. I hope this clears things up!

Here's a link to that thread too if you'd like to read more: https://the-lilypad.com/forum/threads/moc-guidelines.86063/page-3#post-1493906

OK, so I think I'll stick to collabs that are still sold here. I've collected a lot of "TLP site collabs," from the store and I think most of them are still for sale on the site. Thanks so much for your help!
