There's lot going on in my house right now, including the hemming of a prom dress - my youngest has just left school and her prom is tomorrow. She also had her first job interview this afternoon.

Are you or your family experiencing milestones or momentous events this season?

Wow! That's a lot of milestones for her Angela! How fun! Good luck to her on the job interview!

Our big milestone recently was my youngest graduating from high school, so that's a pretty fun one! :D

I hope the job interview and prom go well for her Angela.

I had one kid finish elementary school and another kid finish middle school so I will have three kids in three different schools come August which is a new milestone for me. My oldest will also be trying out for high school sports for the first time ever in the end of July. Eek!

My youngest grandson (19 in September) "sneaky" moved out last Saturday while I was at my niece's wedding. I'm guessing he didn't tell me b/c he's afraid I'd tell him that he should stay put and save money to buy a car (no driver's license, no car and he doesn't pay rent) ... but he never follows my advice ... and I am THRILLED to be getting my den back after 29 years of grandkid use ... starting with his older brother.

I think he was a bit perturbed to pop in Monday night to find that I've been packing up the stuff he left and to be told that everything has to be out by July 15th. Anything left will be stored/donated/trashed at my discretion

My house is soooo peaceful with him gone and so less messy. And I'm no longer butting heads with him about food left in his room and the likelihood of it attracting bugs.

all the best to you both: Him with his new home; and you without him

No milestones for me and the family. I am looking forward to grandkids.
Enjoying the peace and lack of having to be responsible for my now adult kids.

I loved having small live-in grandkids, but once they were teens ... YIKES! Doesn't help that their mom never fully matured, suffered a devastating stroke at 31, and operates at about a 14 y.o. level. After nearly 51 years, I am glad to be done with raising kids. Although my daughter is still living with me.

My oldest graduated from college in December, got a nursing job 6.5 hours away, and moved out. I'm still getting used to it. Miss her terribly. She was just home for 2 weeks and so now I feel like I have to get used to her being gone again.

My 2nd oldest is talking about moving out next year after 2 years of college, transferring to a college and moving in with friends 2 hours away...I'm not ready for it.

My 15 year old will get his learner's permit any day...just waiting for them to call to do his 6 hours of driving training first...not ready for that either!

Same son and other daughter are officially in high school in the fall. And my other daughter is a senior...so I have another one possibly moving out...depending on what she decides to do.

You all! I am not ready for all of this. Can I keep all my kids safe and sound at home?

Oh and hubby and I have our 25 year wedding anniversary later this month!

Nothing too major, the only milestone coming up in my world is my birthday in a few weeks but that will be just another day as it's in the middle of the week and not really a milestone birthday as such.

congrats on 25 years together. And I so hear you on the not ready.

I'm happy to say, nothing big coming up for a while. We just survived the big birthday season with like 5 of them in a month's time. Now is my very happy down time!
