How's your April going?

We had a lovely Easter, and TJ was home for 3 weeks. She's now back at University and my younger two are in their exam term. I seem to be sharing in with the exam stress.

My wedding anniversary has just passed, and I got some lovely colouring supplies:

Here in the USA, it is Tax Day. All tax returns are due today unless you have filed an extension. When I worked at a CPA firm, we were always busy on the 15th with people picking up their returns. For those that didn't e-file (wasn't as readily available then), they had to have them postmarked by midnight in order to not be considered late. My return this year was filed early March and refund received in mid-March.

Weather is nice today, actually not normal April weather! So far April has been going good for me. Biggest thing was the eclipse last week, people are still talking about it!

Happy middle of the month everyone!
I have had a terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad day so far today. I had my hearing aids in their travel case on the kitchen counter while I went to the bathroom. When I came out of the bathroom, the case was on the floor, so I knew my cat had knocked it down. When I picked it up, it was empty! I looked all around on the floor for my hearing aids, then realized that things that the cat knocks down usually end up on my dog's bed- not sure if he brings stuff to his bed or the cat brings things to him. I went over there and found the remains of one hearing aid-- all chewed into multiple pieces. The other aid is still nowhere to be found, so I am assuming that my dog ate that one. I got the aids in 2020, so now I need to figure out if I am eligible for getting another pair, and find out how much money I need to get together to replace them so I can hear better. (I have partial hearing loss, not total)

I'm sorry Kelly! What a pain - I hope you can get new hearing aids soon. I know the good ones are not cheap!

I love your coloring - beautiful shading!

I started the month with a spring break trip full of ups and downs - the upside was getting to visit a new country and enjoy near perfect weather on the beach! Back home and in my routine now but life is still full of ups and downs, and I get a little tired of the roller coaster. I am enjoying the warmer weather and blossoms but my allergies are already starting up! It's cool and rainy today and I am enjoying my quiet day at home.

In some ways, April is so just routine and a daily grind and in other ways, it's fabulous and busy because of all the outdoor activities starting.
It's pretty much my busiest time at work with IEP's and meetings and paperwork and starting to get the school year wrapped up.

Honestly could be better. Woke up today with a sore back so currently moving like 90 something year old rather than a 30 something year old! Pretty sure I just slept wrong and it's nothing serious at this stage.

Happy anniversary Angela.

We had a lovely Easter too. My husband and I sang with the children at our church Easter morning which was a first; usually we just watch the children sing.

The kids had a break from school after Easter so we left town to spend time with my sister and her family and my in-laws.

Now I’m enjoying being home and babysitting and not enjoying getting all our cars serviced.
