Can't believe another month is nearly over....these months just disappear too quickly for my liking!

What was good about this past month?
What was not so good about this past month?
Would you change anything that happened this month?

What was good about this past month?
I finally got over a scary hearing incident that a) randomly appeared out of nowhere in April and b) resolved on its own. I have limited hearing so to temporarily lose hearing in my "good" ear was a worry. I didn't even know it had improved til I got a phone call from my uncle who is quietly spoken when I realized I could hear him fine.

What was not so good about this past month?
Two out of two job applications that I applied for were rejections.

Didn't get a whole lot of scrapping done but that was mostly cause I wasn't feeling well enough to be on my computer as much as normal. Looking forward to doing more next month.

May is always hard. It's busy and exhausting!

Would you change anything that happened this month?

Not really. Kind of like you, I wish I had gotten more scrapping done.

My youngest graduated from university! It was amazing, she was glowing :-) She also decided about the Masters programme she wants to do. And DH and I are now on the road, travelling to the far side of the world, and the 37 hour trip went smoothly (so far). Just a ferry ride and car ride to our final destination to go.

My 87 year old mum came down to the university city where the youngest studies to see her graduation, and slipped and broke her ankle when we were away. So the end of the month turned into wheelchair purchases, and living in her small town caring for her and then more hospitals when she needed surgery. Was a hard decision to board the plane for our planned travel but crossing all fingers and toes. Fortunately she is a whizz on whatsapp so keeping in touch is fun and easy.

Definitely get a hotel with a less slippy shower for my mum!!!!

There's absolutely nothing like that feeling....I still remember my graduation day 9 years later

What was good about this past month? I got a surprise package in the mail from my cousin in Florida. Evidently last September when they were in Columbus for a football game, he bought me an Ohio State Buckeye sweatshirt... only he forgot to mail it to me! His wife found it and mailed it. Also, I finished my 100 day project on time (even though I was sick... see below).

What was not so good about this past month? Pretty much everything. I started the month being sick with a cough that wouldn't go away and it kept getting worse. The underlying issue is allergies. My doctor put me on Singulair in late April to see if that would help. By the middle of May I was having breathing issues and wheezing. The doctor referred me to a lung doctor. I did a deep dive on the side effects of Singulair and it turns out a severe allergic reaction to the drug is wheezing and difficulty breathing. I stopped taking it immediately. I saw the lung doctor this week and she agreed that I am allergic to the drug. It should be out of my system by now but I am having lingering effects (breathing hard after exertion). I've been taking naps daily (something I never do) and am feeling a little better every day.

Would you change anything that happened this month? Not being sick would be a great thing to change.

Good: Finished the most difficult school year I've ever had and accepted a new position in a different school. :yippee

Not good: While my husband has picked up some free lance work, he still hasn't gotten a new regular job.

Change: One of those rejection letters was a job offer instead.

We took a family vacation to San Diego and it was awesome.

I didn’t keep up on my daily life scrapping so now I have to play catch up.

Would you change anything that happened this month?
I would change my daughter getting sick on her last school field trip so she could’ve enjoyed it more.

Summer is here finally. It's so nice to go out without a jacket on. The robins are back again, just had their babies this week in our backyard.

The stress of politics/tariffs/economy gives me a headache. We only chat about it for a few min each day and then let it go b/c it can drive a person nuts.

I wish my hubby didn't go thru 5 wks of sickness, surgery, re-infection, pneumonia, hospital/urgent care visits twice a week. It's been a lot to deal with. I'm happy to say he is finally starting to feel better.

What was good about this past month? Home is peaceful and cozy, winter is settling in.
What was not so good about this past month? Rosie has resigned and is planning on emigrating in July. Empty nest looming once more.
Would you change anything that happened this month? No, it's just been a lot to process.
