Welcome to the March TLP POP's (Pride of the Pad) for 2023! If you have seen blinkies in some members signatures and wondered about this, and for those of you who don't know, this is The Lilypad version of Layout of the Week and it is VERY.DIFFICULT. to choose just one from each week! The inspiration in the gallery is amazing and each week of the month a different Polly chooses one page to highlight and award bragging rights to the creator! Be sure to congratulate these scrappers by clicking on the graphics to visit their featured pages & leave them some love in the gallery! The first POP award goes to @Smileark for this sweet and eyecatching layout:
I am completely honored, Ladies! I'm overwhelmed and don't know how to express it. Thank you! I truly appreciate the acknowledgment.
Back with another POP for March! I could quite happily look at this page all day, it's an amazing example of how to blend and extend photography with fantasy! Thanks for sharing and congrats to @SanVHM
Hi again, I know we've had discussions in the community about how to explain why we scrapbook to non-scrapbookers before and really this page shows one of the why's perfectly. Congrats to this week's Pride of the Pad, @janedee
@bellbird It's hard to explain to someone in Sweden, they just look at you and says hmmm, that is nice but what do you do with them Even harder is to explain junk journaling where I just say I'm making books. They don't get that I can make books on a subject or I made books to my grandchildren with photos and stories from when they was born and with their interest. My grandson loves vintage maps so that what I used in his book and my oldest granddaughters book was with anime. To my youngest I make small books with a theme, Easter, magic, Christmas aso but she will also get a book with photos when she is older.
I think most people around digiland have had the same conversation in our own countries. It's so nice to have this online community that understands!
@designbylime @bellbird same here.... I have very very few friends who don't scrap and "get it"... and I reckon the nature of what we do is why we can make so deep friendships with scrappers even when we have not met them in person... I have been so blessed with having met some of my most loved scrapers & designers, and I don't think I would have survived well the last few years if not for the ones I have met and are in constant touch.... Apologies for the lateness, but CONGRATS to @SanVHM & @janedee the pages are spectacular, well deserved POP for you guys!!!!
Before we turn over a new leaf for April POP's we have one more page to celebrate for March! Totally worth clicking and zooming in for the text on this layout! Congrats goes to @Veronique PINCEMIN
