Any NYE plans in the works?

Too soon? Or did you make plans ages ago? No plans at all?

We had talked about bingo night for NYE a month or so ago but hadn't seen any advertising so I was just about to give up on that idea when I saw a post about a big bingo pub having NYE games. So far, 9 of us are going. We'll go early to get digital tablets to play with and will enjoy a leisurely dinner with drinks beforehand. Darrell will be our designated driver for our car. Games start at 6 and should finish up around midnight, so we won't get home until about 1 a.m. We don't have anywhere to be on new years day so can sleep in and lounge around all day if we are tired.

Not sure yet. It depends on the weather. Our town does a "Downtown Countdown" every year that is a lot of fun, but I don't like walking around in the cold. So I may just be here...sleeping lol.

I just got my work schedule for that week and found out I just have a short shift the afternoon of the 31st and am off the 1st. DD had asked if she could have some friends over for a low key NYE. (The current plan is for them to make vision boards.) Since I won't have to be up early, I gave her the ok. Here's hoping I'm able to still sleep with the activities happening. I am not a night owl. I cannot remember the last time I was up to see the ball drop. LOL

No plans here. I'd say I'll end up staying awake though as more than likely my neighbours will be celebrating with loud music and alcohol until God knows when.....the last time they had a drinking session it went from 12pm until 3.40am!

I'm working on the 31st, only one in the office, so probably just go home and watching baking shows and scrap! But if someone invited me to something, I might consider it!

I usually stay home, out of the cold in my cozy house.

I'm also a college football fan and football is on all day. This year my OSU Buckeyes play at 7:30 on NYE so I'll be watching it in the comfort of my home.

Who do you want them to play: Texas A&M or MiamiU? Oregon's gotta get through JMU this weekend and then we'd take on Texas Tech on New Years Day...hoping we then get to take on Indiana again and put 'em in their place so we can take on your Buckeyes in the Championship...I know Ohio State will beat their quarterfinal and semifinals rivals, for sure!

We are flying out early in the morning to Tulsa Oklahoma on New Year’s Day to see Aspen, Brandon and Maddyn, so New Year’s Eve will be low-key for us.

We usually get Chinese food and play games or put a puzzle together and watch the ball drop on TV. It will just be Rob and me, so I hope he’ll play some games with me. I know the neighbors have talked a little about maybe getting together, but I’m not sure if Rob will want to go.

I don't really care who they play. They just play better than they did against Indiana! I'm hoping that loss is the kick in the butt they need to go all the way. After losing to Michigan when they were favored to win last year, they were unstoppable. They were favored to win against Indiana. I would sort of like to see an OSU-Indiana rematch for the championship with the Buckeyes coming out on top this time! #1 against #2 both from the Big10. Although Oregon is at least another Big10 team. Guess I just want an all Big10 final!

We have another couple that we usually hang out with on NYE and we are planning that again. We are planning a seafood boil for dinner and then we usually play euchre and hang out. Last year we were all tired and didn't even make it until midnight. Lol.

We like to play board & card games on NYE. I know my son is getting Exploding Kittens and expansion packs for Taco vs. Burrito for Christmas so I am hoping we'll play those for New Year's.

I really should be thinking about a hike for New Year's Day. Low is 63 so a morning hike would be nice but getting everyone up in a timely manner probably won't happen.

Like @cfile no plan.
Maybe my husband and I will make a slightly fancier meal than usual, but we'll stay at home and go to bed as usual. That way, I'll be in top shape for the MOC.
I think my eldest son is planning something with his friends, but I don't know any more than that.

For over 20 years now, we've been getting together with our best friends (2 couples and us) for a NYE fondue party at our house. We hang out, fondue and then watch the ball drop in NYC. Since the ball drops at 10 our local time, everyone can head home before there are too many crazies out on the road.

Sounds fun Rae!

Nope

Too soon?
Yes. I haven’t even planned Christmas yet. Send help!

No plans at all?
I prefer no plans at all and would love to go to bed early but with two teenage daughters I’m afraid I’ll be up at midnight. I better take a nap that day or I don’t stand a chance!

Me, too!

Yes I will stay at home because of our dog. She os very afraid of all the fireworks so we want to give here here safe space at home. Friends are coming over here, we eat, play games and chat.

We love euchre too. We play every week at the club.
