Happy New Year, everyone!!! I'm wishing you all the best through 2024!!

And today is also Make Up Your Mind Day!
Is there anything you are trying to make up your mind about? I finished my PL for 2023 today, so I'm going to spend this quiet time tonight thinking about how I'm going to approach 2024. There's probably a bunch of other decisions I need to make, but that's what's on my mind right now.

What do you need to make up your mind about?

Good job finishing your PL! I need to figure out when I’m going to finish mine lol

I tried Storygraph this year. It's an alternative to Goodreads. It's less social (unless you happen to get a lot of friends to join you there) but the graphs and charts they make from your reading records is lots more interesting than what you get from Goodreads. There are fewer reviews but it's nice like a small business is nicer than a big box store. The design of the site just looks better too. I still get the emails from Goodreads telling me what my friends over there are reading, but I still feel kind of disconnected or something. It's not an important decision, which is probably part of my struggle to decide whether to stick with Storygraph or return to Goodreads. I haven't actually thought a lot about it. I just remember occasionally. I would like to think about it more though. Figure out why I want to track my reading with either of these and, if so, which one . . . ?

I haven't been on Goodreads in ages, and I've never heard of Storygraph. I have used Goodreads more than anything to find new books based on what friends are reading. Good luck deciding!!

Hmmm... good question. I'd saying something I need to make my mind up about is regarding a class I'm going to teach at my church next weekend. I offered to teach a coptic book making class and know I just need to decide what type of cover I want to teach them... it's between a thin wood cover, or a paper covered cardboard cover. The wood ones are super cool, but then I have to cut them and drill holes in them, because that's too much for the scope of a quick class, or I can do the paper cover cardboard and they can make their own completely. It'll probably depend on how many people end up signing up for the class too. Lol.

These are the kinds of books we'll be making:

Nothing specific comes to mind which is rare, usually I'd have a job that I'm interested in but for some reason I'm delaying making a decision on whether to apply...usually if it comes to that, I end up not applying as there is usually a pretty big reason as to why I had doubts in the first place (usually either under/overpaid for the role, not being flexible with travel/only mentioning it after I've emailed asking about travel).

Omgosh! I love those!!! Good luck deciding!!

Nothing really! Just keeping up with what I'm already doing. I've decided what style my 2024 album will be. I do want to decide on another album to start after I finish my daughter's graduation album...but I'm not going to decide until I'm done with that.
