I didn't use the quote exactly but the sentiment is in the journaling. Thanks for the challenge, it was FUN!

This quote immediately made me think of learning to drive, which I didn't do until I was 28, and had rather despaired of how it was ever going to happen. In making a piece about learning to drive, I ended up creating a tribute to Houston, my beloved first car, who was totalled in an accident after I'd had her less than two years. I don't usually tend to get so attached to inanimate objects, but for whatever reason, Houston was incredibly dear to me. Because I had a somewhat lengthy story I wanted to tell, I made a "pocket journal," which can be printed out and then cut and folded to make a little mini-book, and I also made a copy with rearranged pages so they're all face up and you guys can read them. The photo on the back cover was taken in Houston's rear view mirror, as I sat in her one last time while I waited for the scrapping company to come take her away. I'm using images from my blog here (that link to larger versions) because I can't for the life of me figure out how to get a 150 kb image for posting to the gallery that is in any size or quality for people to actually tell what they're looking at. I'll work on that more later, but I have houseguests right now and I wanted to get this at least posted to this thread before the end of the challenge.
