Hello! @flowersgal is hosting this month's challenge =========== Let’s start off the month with a scraplift challenge with a bit of a twist. Scraplifts are one of my favorite challenges as there is always lots of inspiration available in the gallery. This month we will be scraplifting chigirl. Judy has been a member of Lynn’s creative team since Lynn came to The Lilypad in 2016 so there’s lots of choices in her gallery. I asked her what her favorite things were to scrap and, as with many of us, it is family. She says she likes clean and simple one photo pages with lots of paper layers but is starting to love art journaling pages. Visit her gallery: Gallery for user: chigirl | The Lilypad (the-lilypad.com) 1. Pick a favorite from the thread to scraplift. Post the layout you chose and the new page you created here with a link to the gallery. 2. The twist: Any photos used must be your own (or taken by a family member or friend) – no stock photos this time! I chose this lovely travel layout: Here’s my scraplift: The details: Layouts must be new for this challenge and cannot be combined with other challenges. Please upload to Lynn's gallery at The LilyPad following the gallery posting rules. Link your gallery image to this thread. You have from now until the 31st of July at 11:59 p.m. to create and post your layout. Remember to use largely Lynn’s products currently available at the Lilypad. One randomly chosen participant will receive an $8 coupon code to use in Lynn's shop at the LilyPad. Have fun. I look forward to seeing your layouts.
I started at the back of Judy's @chigirl layouts and found this one from February, 2014. Here is my scraplift:
I used to run a blog called "Lifts with a Twist" where I picked a page to lift from the galleries and had a designer of the week give prizes to the randomly chosen winner of the lift! Your title gave me some good memories!
There are so many great ideas in chigirl's gallery! For now, I am ultra-focused on getting my travel album done and this layout gave me some inspiration.
I chose this lovely page by Chigirl and as she used a template I have used the same template that I purchased.
I'm not really a fan of scrap lifts. I tend to go too literal, but I don't think you can accuse me of that this time LOL Saw this layout and immediately thought of a photo I took in 2015. I guess it's basically the photos that are the common thing between our layouts. I'm lifting this layout: and here's my layout:
