We have only a few days left in 2020 and soon we can say "hindsight is 2020" and mean it literally. ;) So that probably means it's about that time when we starting thinking of goals for the new year. I have so many....and most of them are to make up for the total sh!t show that was 2020. LOL.

My top 3 goals:
1- lose 50!!!!! lbs....yep...not only did I gain back all I'd lost...I gained even more @#!$
2- shoot every day
3- say NO more

what are you top 3 goals?

I don't have any actually.
Our president is addressing the nation at 8pm again tonight and we will see what happens after that.
I want to keep walking, maybe add some stretching in to the mix.

Life is so full and exhausting as a 24/7 carer, that I rarely set goals - they tend to add to my stress levels.

Pretty simple for me.

Do everything I can to stay COVID free. If that means I stay home and let others get the vaccine first, then I will do that. I am in Group 1B in Ohio for those able to get it which should be in the next couple of months. However, I think depending on how many doses are available, I might wait a few more months. I'll just have to wait and see how it is rolled out.

My goals:

1) Finish College! Yeah - should be April!!!
2) Buy a House.
3) Work on back-tagging photos in Lightroom. This has been an ongoing goal of mine for a few years, and I keep making progress on it - little by little. This also happens after tagging the current year. Hopefully, with #1 done, I'll be able to finish it this year.
4) More DSLR, less phone. I'm somewhere between 50-50 and 60/40 (DSLR/phone). I always like my DSLR better than my phone, so I'm going to work to move that closer to 80/20.

I have never been one to set new year goals but I've got a few things I've been thinking about lately. I want to find a job that isn't so physically strenuous and doesn't make me feel unsafe so often, though I have to say the USPS pay is good, which is hard to find. I also want to figure out what kind of photographer I want to be and have already begun a group book study of The Visual Toolbox by David DuChemin on Clickinmoms with that in mind. Plus I may participate in the Project 52 there. And of course I intend to finish MOC for the 6th time and do my weekly scrapping project I'll be sharing here.

Very loose “goals” for me

Gain my health back/independence back - the last 2ish years have been h*ll in that regard

Get a job and move out of home

Go back to study (if I don’t get a job then that will have to wait as I’m not prepared to keep asking for money from family to do it)

Scrap more/take more photos

We'll see how well I do with all this in 2021 lol
1. I want to lose about 20lbs or at least get in a little better shape!
2. Take at least one photo every day and use my DSLR way more than I did this year
3. Organize my time a little better. It's been such an odd year and schedules have been so difficult to stick to, I'm hoping I can find something that works better for me.

Take the camera out more .Give myself a much needed refresher course on apature settings. Take sketch books with me out, ignore my feeling uncomfortable around people, and walk, even if it involves masks and sanitizer, extra washing of clothes,I am going slightly barmy inside. Paint, draw, card make....

I usually have some ideas on areas I want to improve, but I haven't really thought about it too much this year. This thread has made me think.

1. Keep up my reading - I actually did read more this year thanks to Covid & I would like to keep it up. I have a stack growing next to my bed.
2. Organize my house room by room.
3. Still thinking of a third one - going to come back to this thread for some ideas.

I don't really do New Year's resolutions or set goals just because it's a certain date, but I have some ongoing things I'm working on.

1. Continue losing weight. I've been stalled for a few months, which is frustrating.
2. More scrapping, less time-wasting online. Realistically I'm shooting for 4-5 layouts a week.
3. Finish scrapping 2019 by April, finish scrapping 2020 by the end of 2021. I'll never be caught up, but I'd love to be less than a year behind!

I have lots of little goals to strive for in 2021.
1. Lose 10 lbs.
2. Stretch and tone more, it’s important for my arthritis.
3. Get some photo books made as I’ve procrastinated this year.
4. Purge more as we get closer to our retirement and selling the house.
5. Sort thru old photos and scan them for scrapping.
6. Find some new locations for photo walks.

My two goals for 2021:

1. Lose my "pandemic pounds" (AKA the COVID 19!). About 3 years ago, I lost 50 pounds (mostly by walking, mostly with the aid of my Fitbit), and I managed to keep the weight off for a couple of years. And then came the pandemic, with the lockdowns and etc.; and I've regained about 20-25 pounds, which I'd really like to lose. I'm giving myself permission to lose the weight slowly but surely, but I also realize that I'm not going to lose this weight without some effort on my part!...

2. Read something intelligent/informative/educational every single day. Doesn't have to be complete chapter or article or whatever, maybe it's just a paragraph or two... But it cannot be from social media, because the idea here is to counteract the corrosive/dumbing-down effects of social media, by reading some stuff that is more serious.

(01) Get my PCOS under control which will be some kind of combination of weight loss, exercise, vitamins/supplements, less stress, and using my Rogaine & prescription shampoo to (hopefully) help my hair grow back in some capacity

(02) Pay off my foot surgery costs + the last of my student loan(s) & debts so that I can

(03) Buy a house this summer

Three areas I have decided to work on-
1. Self-control - exercise 4 xs a wk
2. Kindness - do something nice for others twice a month.
3. Encourage - send at least one card a week.
Creative wise -Do a project 52 here.
Pull out the DSLR and reacquaint myself with all the settings.
Continue to tell my families story via scrapbooking.

1. I want to make a schedule and stick to it. The kind that is "Scrapbook every Thursday", "organize digital media every Wednesday", "clear out email every Sunday", etc. so that I can fit in my hobbies that have fallen to the side these past couple of years. My husband set up a nice workstation for me, so in theory it should be doable, but my computer time is what I give up when my time is short. (Because I'm on it for too long when I boot up, I don't get on often, which leads to long times catching up when I do get on, on so on.)

2. Long walks with the dogs two to three times a week. We -- my daughter and I -- are averaging three 3 mile walks every two weeks, which isn't bad, but I think we could do better. (The dogs agree.) Our goal is participating in local 5K run/walk fundraising events next year.

3. Organize and declutter. I have a lot of boxes to sort through. The big thing for us has always been getting the stuff actually out of the house. This year, I'm going to call Purple Heart (the ones that come and pick up from you). I figure after I've done that once, when I had enough to feel like it was worthwhile, it will be easier for me to ask them to come back out when we have less.
