Now I'm the proud owner of a Silhouette Portrait! For me the 8x12 cutting size is o.k. because I want to use it for print and cut and my printer is also for that size. My first trials were terrible, everything stuck on the mat and was torn when I tried to get it off. It's difficult to find out how everything works...(still have problems...) I wanted to give the machine back and was so sad... My mat now looks as it is years old, but now it works... So here is my first ever hybrid project, I used a cutting file from the Silhouette shop and papers from Fairytale by One Little Bird and Paislee Press:
That is so cool!! I am always tempted by those cool hybrid tools even tho I'm sooo not a hybrid girl!
The mats are really tricky at first. I'm glad you kept trying because this is just gorgeous, Susanne!!
Yes, congrats! I love my Silhouette SD! I hate the cutting mat when it's brand-new because it's too sticky. But once you've used it a few times it gets better.
So pretty!! I'm debating with myself on getting one of these...this post pushed me closer to wanting one! LoL
It really makes fun to do hybrid! I want to try a lot, but it takes a lot of time...And I have so many problems with the program, there are so many things I don't know...I think I have to start learning...It's a bit hard because all is in English.
Looks great! A couple of my friends have one and I'm trying to stay away from the temptation. Fingers in my ears, covering my eyes, backing away....
