Yes, today has felt like it's dragged on and on

If so, any particular reason why?
I'd say it felt particularly long as I am waiting to hear back from a job application as to whether I'm shortlisted for an interview....waiting always feels ten times longer when you want good news I feel.
 
It has been getting light so late, this morning's sunrise was at 7:50am. So the long dark evenings and the cold seem to linger for ages. I prefer Winter to Summer and we need much more rain still, but I miss the sun just a little.
 
I didn't notice it, but the summer solstice is my least favorite day of the year as it starts the count down to the shortest day of the year. I always celebrate the day after the winter solstice as the days start getting longer again.

Most days feel a little too short, as I am so busy ;-)

If so, any particular reason why?
It was a glorious sunny day and we managed to brave the community mid-winter ocean swim. Not a huge turnout (most people not mad enough?). We're planning to swim again this morning, if it's sunny again. We get up really early and go to bed very early, so the dark nights are actually a bit of a bonus for us. But the other day, when it was grey and gloomy and one of my kids was struggling was one of those 'dragging' days though.

Long but in a good way.

I feel like I’ve already accomplished a lot and there’s a lot of the day left still so that’s a good thing.

Thanks, I hope so too. One job only closed last Sunday and the next one doesn't close until July 10th - that one I'll be doing next week probably as there's no way I want to be "working" on my birthday if I can help it. Long story is I probably won't know much for a bit on either job - usually about 5-10 days wait is average while shortlisting occurs

I'm the same, I much prefer winter....I'd rather be too cold than too hot, I just don't cope well in heat and humidity.
 
I often notice how early and late sunrises and sunsets are. I love it when the daylight lasts a long time. So, like @Memaw2Wm , I feel more celebratory about winter solstice here in the northern hemisphere and feel a little sad about summer solstice. But just a little. I remind myself that the days will still be long for a few more months!

As for yesterday in particular, and this whole week, the days have felt long because I'm not doing much. I've been dealing with plantar fasciitis all spring and while I attempted to rest as soon as the school year was done, I didn't do a good job of it (like hiking UP a waterfall the day after Memorial Day, and otherwise being on my feet too much still) so I decided last weekend to seriously rest this week. I've been sitting in my bedroom reading or listening to podcasts and coloring in my digital coloring app all week. It's not totally boring but my body wants to move. My foot is improving, though, I think, so I'm going to make it a full week and then start up my daily walks again very gradually.
 
I didn't really notice it being super long on the solstice, but I guess that's because the days have been getting longer gradually. I definitely notice it way more in December when our days are so short of daylight. I feel so much more tired when there's no sunlight! I love our long summer days! :agree
