This is such a busy time for me. Winding down the school year gets pretty chaotic. We've all been looking forward to this long Memorial Day weekend to decompress a little. However, I am going to stop doing that. It seems like every time I plan on a restful weekend, it is anything but :compcoffee. I had 2 of the grandbabies Friday evening and one all night Friday night. Then on Saturday, my oldest called to invite us to go to a Strawberry Festival, so we did that all day yesterday. Today we celebrated my daughter's 29th birthday with a pool party and then I went to visit with my mom for a bit. I guess I should be grateful that I still have tomorrow off, but I'm tired lol.

I'd say there's a 100% chance it will be business as usual - my mum works Saturday & Monday anyway so it's not really much different for me than a normal weekend
 
yes we've got our Spring Bank Holiday today. D's got the day off work so it will be family time. Our schools take the whole week off for a 1/2 term holiday so it will be a nice week without exams.
 
A quiet weekend for me. I have gone on walks with the dog each day but am avoiding being outside. My allergies are full blown right now with the multiple walnut trees in bloom these last 10 days. Even with taking Zyrtec every day for at least a month, I have the itchy, dry eyes and lots of sneezing. I'm also spending less time on the computer and have not scrapped for several weeks since the eyes get worse when I stare at the screen constantly.

So I've been going through all of my genealogy paperwork to try to get better control of what I actually have. Of course, I got off on various tangents and have spent time searching for census records or obituaries. I'm doing this organizing to see what I actually want to work on when I go to the Fort Wayne Genealogy Library the end of June.

Today I need to do a load of laundry and put some things away since the cleaning lady comes tomorrow morning.
 
Thursday was my school's last day so it's not a long weekend for me but a two month vacation. Friday I celebrated my oldest kid's 23rd birthday. Saturday I helped my husband on a film shoot and read and watched things and rested. Sunday I read by the river and did some weekly food prep. I had plans for a hike today but we decided to postpone it to tomorrow when the weather will be sunny instead of drizzly. So I'm doing more food prep and contemplating scrapping.

I am enjoying a long weekend. We did a lot of cleaning Saturday so we could go to church and rest yesterday. Today we’ll probably do yard work since it rained all Saturday then tonight our neighbors invited us over for a bbq.
 
I had an extra long weekend - It started Thursday when the girls and I drove 6 hours to hang out with my oldest for a few days (involved going to Churchill Downs, watching some racing, eating yummy food, shopping, playing games, etc.) Then we came home and had yesterday & today...it actually was restful. We hung out at home, watched a movie, played games, read books. It was great.
 
I was very grateful for the long weekend, but only because I spent the whole weekend working on projects and getting ready for my son's graduation party this coming weekend. I still feel like I have so much to do to get ready though. Lol! I'll have to set aside the weekend after next to be my relaxing downtime weekend. ha ha!
