Designed by Irma is our Daily Crush ​

This event isn't a traditional challenge in that there aren't any real rules.

It’s a fun event to scrap with products from a fave designer or try a new (to you) designer. It’s all about having fun and celebrating the uniqueness of all of our Lilypad Designers!

If you haven’t discovered Irma’s designs yet you find her Lilypad store here. I love the variety of papers, elements, cards and templates to be found there! The texture on the cards and papers are amazing and I love scrapping with flat sticker elements and that is something one can find a lot of in Irma’s designs.

I was curious about Irma’s designs and asked her a few questions about her process.

1. How long have you been designing? How did you get started?
I have started designing about 6-7 years ago. Anita (from Anita Designs) said that I should try it, and she learned me all kind of things.

2. How do you come up with your color palette or theme for your kits?
That can be anything, sometimes it happens through a picture or image that i see, or theme when I am at home with my family, or when I drive the schoolbus, the kids get me inspired, but also things in nature like spring winter or summer or fall.

3. When creating a collection, what do you start with?
I usually start with solid papers and then work towards patterned papers and elements.

4. Do you have a favorite product you've designed?
Snow adorable is still one of my favorites.

5. Any tricks or hacks you use to get your creativity going?
Just enjoy life and music and the creativity will come !
