If you’re not familiar with Sabrina Dupre Designs, check out the store here. Sabrina has been away from designing for the last couple years, but is hoping to return very soon. Sabrina has a beautiful store! I sent Sabrina some questions to uncover a bit more about this lovely, talented designer! Where do you call home? Louisiana Who makes up your family? I was with my husband for 32 years (married for 26 years) until 2 years ago when he lost his 18 month battle with ALS. I have two amazing daughters, Isabella who will be 23 next week, and Sofia who will be 19 in a couple of months. We have 4 cats. Which came first, scrapbooking or designing? I was a scrapper first. My scrapbooking journey began when I was designing my daughter's birthday party invitation and looking for fonts, etc. when I came across Rhonna Farrer at Two Peas. I began to design when Laura Deacetis contacted me about designing. I jumped in and her shop, Shabby Pickle, was my first home. How long have you been at The Lilypad? When Shabby Pickle closed, I moved to 9th & Bloom and then after they closed, my home was The Lilypad where I have been since 2011. I was a part of the TLP community as a scrapper for years before designing and it always felt like home. The friends I have made from being at TLP are so dear to my heart. I am so grateful for this amazing community. Do you have a signature style? How would you describe it? I love themed kits and love incorporating vintage items, hand drawn bits, and love colors. What is your favorite product/kit/item you've designed? I always love Halloween kits the most, like 31 Halloween Street and Fright Night. A couple of other favorites are Ooooh Lala and Junk Alpha. How do you spend your other time? I have recently gone back to work after many years, so my extra time is very limited, but I love photography, painting and really doing all types of art. I also love making jewelry and DIY home projects. I just finished hanging wallpaper for the first time. Have you been told, that you look like someone famous? In the 80's I was told I looked like Susannah Hoffs of the Bangles (must have been the 80s hair lol) What is your favorite ice cream flavor? Häagen-Dazs Crème brulee. Sadly it has been discontinued! If you had the opportunity to live abroad for a year would you go? For sure!! I would love to live in my beloved Colombia because I miss my family and delicious food, but would also love to live in Italy! This [or] That? Dogs [or] Cats - both, but if I must choose, cats. I enjoy using journal cards for quick easy greeting card toppers and Sabrina's Insights set is one I will be using more of the different ones in the future. This is just the card front which I will print and attach to cardstock and add some trimmings to ( maybe a paper flower or some gems). I am in a hurry to get this card made and sent as I need to post it today.
Gorgeous layouts! love Sabrina's stuff, hopefully soon she will release something new. I made this page for the scraplift challenge
