(Disclaimer: We all know Covid has disrupted some live stuff, but for this thread - we'll ignore that it exists! :thumbsups)

Do you enjoy going to live events?
What's your favorite? Concerts? Theater? Musicals? Sporting Events?
If you could go see any live performance, what would it be? (feel free to include performances no longer running or artists that have passed, teams that have broken up, etc.)
If you don't enjoy live events, what event do you wish would be on television for you to see?
What is your favorite performance you've seen to date?

This question brought to you by Sharon watching Hamilton 3 times yesterday because she loves the music so much. :wub

I usually only go and see basketball games live but as the last two seasons the team I follow have been based in Australia, the closest I’ve got is watching the live scoring and then clips and press conferences afterwards.

To be quite honest, I don’t go to a lot of events as it’s just too hard physically and then there’s the unreliability of public transport and taxis to deal with - it all just becomes too much.

It’s been so long since I’ve really “followed” an musical artist but if there was a live stream concert of Pentatonix I’d be keen for that. I do enjoy other pop and country artists too but my number one artist in my Fave Music Spotify playlist is definitely Pentatonix.

I love going to the annual balloon festival. They normally have special live events in the arena, and one year we had the finals for the Welsh and English Strongman competitions.

Do you enjoy going to live events? Not so much anymore. Hearing issues make them very hard to enjoy. I end up "zoning out" because I can't handle all the noise around me. And, for most concerts the instruments are so much louder than the vocals that I can't even hear the vocals.
What's your favorite? Concerts? Theater? Musicals? Sporting Events? Never really had a favorite type of event unless you count college football in the 70's and 80's. Because of watching one cousin play for Toledo in 1971, I chose my college. And, I went to all the home games while in college. Then another cousin played in the mid 80's. I went to many of his games and since he played in the MAC, even the away games weren't that far to go to.
If you could go see any live performance, what would it be? (feel free to include performances no longer running or artists that have passed, teams that have broken up, etc.) I would love to be able to see Home Free and the Oak Ridge Boys again. Home Free because there are no instruments that are louder than the singing! And, Oak Ridge Boys just because I know all their songs and sing along.
What is your favorite performance you've seen to date? Besides watching my cousins play college football in the early 70's and mid 80's, I have probably most enjoyed the 4 Oak Ridge Boys concerts I have gone to (3 in the 90's, one in 2018) and my one Home Free concert in 2018.

And, because of COVID I am able to enjoy the college football experience again since the mid 80's football player has a son playing football and they stream the games! I find watching college football so enjoyable when you have a personal tie to the team.

Do you enjoy going to live events? Yes, most of the time. I'm extremely distracted and/or irritated by other people, though, so sometimes the amazing experiences are hampered by my inability to shut my brain off. LOL
What's your favorite? Concerts? Theater? Musicals? Sporting Events? Concerts, musicals, football
If you could go see any live performance, what would it be? (feel free to include performances no longer running or artists that have passed, teams that have broken up, etc.) I would like to go to Tuscaloosa to see the Crimson Tide play
If you don't enjoy live events, what event do you wish would be on television for you to see? Hmmm, there's so much available nowadays on various streaming platforms that I can't think of anything.
What is your favorite performance you've seen to date? Michael Buble gives THE best concerts. Both times I saw him live were amazing.

Do you enjoy going to live events? Yes

What's your favorite? Concerts? Theater? Musicals? Sporting Events? My favorite is watching any of my kids perform. My older two have performed extensively in theater, my oldest is also a musician (singer, piano, guitar, ukulele), and even my youngest has been in a few stage performances.

If you could go see any live performance, what would it be? more of my kids acting or singing, but that's less likely now as they've begun college and are pursuing other paths, so I will have to settle for some plays, musicals, and concerts by people I don't know :)

What is your favorite performance you've seen to date? Rather than trying to figure out which of my kids' performances to call a favorite, I'm going to name the first Penatonix concert we attended, in 2016. It involved driving from Virginia to South Carolina, first time I'd ever driven out of the state before, so the whole trip was exciting. Watching my oldest's excitement was fun. She got there early and was in the first row of the pit. PTX's show was awesome too of course! I was in love with their music at the time. I still like it, I just don't listen to it as often as I did back then.

Do you enjoy going to live events? Yes, love them!! With the exception of parking lol

What's your favorite? Concerts? Theater? Musicals? Sporting Events? Sporting events and concerts! We are mapping out a few to go to this spring and summer!!

If you could go see any live performance, what would it be? (feel free to include performances no longer running or artists that have passed, teams that have broken up, etc.) I am really wanting to go to the Motley Crue/Poison/Joan Jett/Def Leppard Stadium tour this summer. But if I could go to any, I'd probably choose Bonaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, TN. There are lots I'd like to see...sporting events and concerts.

What is your favorite performance you've seen to date?
Best concert ever - AC/DC
Best sporting event - Pirates/Dodgers game last summer because it was a first for the kiddo and he was sooooo excited!

Do you enjoy going to live events? Not anymore - I did when I was younger. DH and I were just talking about this - I can't stand to wait in line for anything anymore.
What's your favorite? Concerts? Theater? Musicals? Sporting Events? We used to go to the Detroit Redwings games and The Detroit Pistons games when we lived there and I used to love going to concerts. We went to The Fox Theater in Detroit quite regularly - saw some wonderful Broadway Shows there.
If you could go see any live performance, what would it be? (feel free to include performances no longer running or artists that have passed, teams that have broken up, etc.) we've seen so many musical artists and performances over the years - some of my favorites (and I'm going to date myself here) - Johnny Mathis, The Carpenters, Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash, Paul Anka, Neil Sedaka, Man of La Moncha, Fiddler On The Roof, The Beegees. One of my favorite memories is our trip to Gillies in Texas - oh, the memories.........
If you don't enjoy live events, what event do you wish would be on television for you to see?
What is your favorite performance you've seen to date? I'd love to watch The Man of La Moncha - I loved that play!

Do you enjoy going to live events? Yes. But I also like watching things on my comfy couch in my pajamas.

What's your favorite? Concerts? Theater? Musicals? Sporting Events? All of them really. I do love listening to a live symphony. Sporting events would only be for local things and cheering on people I know.

If you could go see any live performance, what would it be? (feel free to include performances no longer running or artists that have passed, teams that have broken up, etc.)

Andrew Peterson - Behold the Lamb of God at the Ryman. I went to one of his very first concerts in a small little church building. We've had tickets to two of his concerts...both of them got canceled. One due to weather. One due to covid.

I also would really like to go to another symphony or opera. I've only been to one and I LOVED it.

Do you enjoy going to live events? Yes, also as long as parking is sufficient, and it's not ridiculously loud.
