Just for fun, Nick and I started volunteering at our local Music Showhouse. Tonight, we are going to be there for a psychic show. We get to see quite a bit of the show when we volunteer, which was most of our reason for doing it. Last time it was a magic show, which was pretty awesome! There's a Wheel of Fortune coming up soon too.

So, I wondered:
Have you ever been part of a television show screening? Is there one that you wish you could be an audience member for?

I was a live audience member once in Los Angeles, but I can't remember what show we saw! Some sitcom. Lots of signs telling you to clap now, laugh now. But it was a neat experience.

What a fun place to volunteer Courtney!

I've never been a part of a television show screening, but I did visit the set of Gullah Gullah Island which my uncle filmed.

I always wanted to be a contestant on The Price is Right or Wheel of Fortune. I think it would be an interesting experience to be an audience member.

Have fun!

The only t.v.-related thing I've done was when I was around age 10 and my family took the Universal Studios tour. I was invited to come on stage to be the model to demonstrate how a green screen works. I was on the t.v. screen jogging down a street and riding a motorcycle.

If I could pick one show to attend now I think I'd pick The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. I got really into watching it (on YouTube; I don't stay up that late!) a few years ago, and I was so excited the writers' strike is over and they're back on the air this week.

The only tv thing I was involved in by accident - my mum and I were going to a sports game and we had seats almost at the pitch level behind the bench so we were broadcast on to the big screen a couple of times and the live broadcast. I had no idea til after the game when I saw all of my friends messaging me to tell me about it.

My mom had her own TV show when I was little, like under 3, but I was on there a few times :) It was a local talk show called Woman's Whirl.
And to really date myself, the same TV station that did my mom's show, also had their own version of Romper Room that I got to be a part of.
I think it would be fun to go to SNL or one of the late night talk shows :)

Back in 2005-2006 I was in the audience for The Martha Stewart Show and The Rachel Ray show. It was fun and we all got prizes! At Martha I got a digital video camera, and at Rachel I got a nice pasta strainer (that I still use!) and one of her cook books.

A zillion years ago my girl scout troop went to see the Bozo the Clown tv show live ... I have a vague memory of sitting down on the floor "ring" and interacting with Bozo with a few other kids. This was back in the early 60s. No photo unfortunately.

I've never been a live audience member but DH and I had a weird brush with TV fame back in the 90s. We were at Tower Records and there was some contest you could join to win a trip to LA so we filled out the form and dropped in in the box and we won! It turns out it was a promotion for a TV show called The Adventures of Mark and Brian. The "stars" were (comedy) radio DJs and were launching a show on TV that fall. On the show, they would do funny, outrageous stunts; but this promotion was before the show aired. We and a group of maybe 40 other people were flown to LA, there was a tour of the city, we recorded a record at a recording studio, went to Catalina Island and bowled with the Lakers Cheerleaders and, of course, met Mark & Brian. Definitely one of the stranger experiences of my life! :D The show ultimately was a flop. We learned from our fellow winners that most of them actually had to perform outrageous stunts to win the contest -- one guy taped dollar bills to his naked body and ran through the NYC subway.

Super! how fun my dear, enjoy, that sounds like a great experience.
