Lilypad Letters: All You Need to Know

Got it... duh, letters?! LOL! I'm going to see if I can jump in, otherwise I might have to wait a month! Super cute idea!

Just so you all know... we have a few gals ready for a partner... FUN!

Oh My Word...I HAVE to give this a try lol. Will pm you Jen :)

OOh I was right, pocket letters, so much fun!

I can't get hold of these pocket pages in the UK. Woodware make them, but I can't find a stockist for love nor money! I did buy some last year for my son's Beast Quest cards, but the shop I got them from doesn't sell them anymore :( I've tried the shops that sell American craft products, but no joy. Can't find them on Amazon either.

UK ladies, let me know if you find them somewhere!

Kate, I got mine a couple of months ago from Amazon UK and think I paid around £7.....if that's any help? :) They were in the card collectors (as in pokemon etc) section

Won't A4 pages be too long for US binders? And no pages with "standard" three holes are going to fit in a Danish 2-hole binder. :/

I've punched holes in page protectors. and not had a problem. Looks like A4 is a little longer than US binders. If you are switching pages with international you could make sure the measurements of the pockets are the same and switch the page protectors when you receive yours. Or something else that could be done is instead of sending an assembled page you could put the contents of each pocket in an envelope or wrap in tissue paper. Then the person could put them in their own protectors that fit their album.

There might also be ideas on the pocket letter website Jen listed. There are a lot of exchanges going on there.

Mine are 3 holes, but fit in my 2 ring binder ok. Just misses out the middle hole. So it may be the same for you? :)

edit: I tell a lie, they actually have 5 holes!!! so must be pretty adaptable.

There are no mentions of "A4" anywhere on that site, and the only mentions of "international" are about how it costs more to post something internationally. :/ A4 is longer and narrower than US Letter.

I really think the A4 will work fine. And if not, the contents can be moved over to a letter size protector once they arrive.

I did find these on the amazon UK site if anyone is interested.

But let's just try it out and see! I do have a couple of UK gals waiting for partners (different theme requests). I think it'll be great!

We always learn something after the first try.... Like my ATC thing, where I made 9 separate instead of 1, placed 9 times... :giggle

Are these acceptable? I've never bought trading card pages before so I just wanted to check first. Are all the different brands just a generic size? (These were $4.83 CAD at Staples.)

That's exactly them, Melanie! They fit perfectly in a 3 ring binder.

I have to say I love this idea! What a wonderful modern take on the beautiful (and dying) practice of sending letters! :beat

I love this idea!! I will have to try this another time, though. I have a lot going on this month.
This sounds so fun, though!! :)

I posted in the themes thread, but thought this thread might be better....

Which gallery would we post the finished ones in? My opinion is that we need a letter gallery, for these and ATCs :D

Answered in the other post but for now, let's use the Hybrid or Member gallery. There is also a Show Off thread HERE. YAY.
