The day after Thanksgiving normally has plenty of leftovers. We got leftovers from a party we went to. Yum I love Thanksgiving-especially Turkey leftovers. Normally do you save leftovers from your daily dinners?

If there are leftovers then yes I save them. The only leftovers I don’t like are meat leftovers; they never taste right to me. We have pie left from yesterday so I had it for breakfast. Best breakfast ever!

I grew up with a mom who grew up during the Great Depression, and we didn’t throw away anything so yes, I use most of our leftovers. Like @umyesh I didn’t like Turkey reheated until I learned to reheat the Turkey in the gravy; then it was quite palatable.

We eat leftovers all the time. I like cooking enough that it lasts a few days so it saves on time in the kitchen. After a lifetime of cooking meals, I'm sick of it and like anything that saves time now. My fave is leftover chicken/turkey and meatloaf.

Leftovers on the menu here today! I sent a lot home with my son but there's enough left for today :) I don't really like the turkey reheated, but I do like it cold, maybe on a sandwich. The sides are my favorite and the pecan pie!

We eat whatever is leftover today for dinner again while we decorate the tree and put up the lights, then we have hot chocolate and watch "The Polar Express". My FIL likes to finish them off on Sunday when we have game night, but I'm so sick of it by then that I HOPE we don't have them for Sunday.

same here, Carol. Both my parents lived through the great depression as youngsters and living on working farms, they understood that you save everything. If you can't eat it, you use it in cooking!

No leftovers for me today. I have a rib out of place so I can't stand for very long. I wanted to make meatloaf and just combining the ingredients would have hurt so I went with simple... scrambled eggs and toast. Hopefully I can make the meatloaf soon, I've been resting and hoping that helps keep the pain away (it was bad yesterday).

When I do make things like meatloaf, I do have leftovers so I'm a big fan of my Food Saver so that I can freeze and eat later instead of 4 days in a row. I do try to stick to meals that are single serves so that I don't have a lot of leftovers. When I buy a package of meat (for example pork chops), I use the Food Saver to package them individually then I can just air fry one when I want.

As for tonight... frozen pizza is on the menu. Will eat the leftovers of it tomorrow.

I did this once and WOW is it painful. Hope you recover quickly!!!

I was never been a big fan of leftovers - somehow the cold, hardened leftovers in the fridge just never seemed appealing. My hubby would laugh at me because I hate to throw food away so I would save leftovers until they were rotten and then throw them away. :lol As I've gotten more and more annoyed with cooking, though, leftovers have seemed like more of a good idea so I am much more likely to save and actually eat leftovers these days. :)

I grew up eating leftovers … my parents were “depression kids” … and I still enjoy them.

Same, as there’s only two of us, we try and cook once and eat for two to three meals most weeks.

Yes! We eat all the leftovers at my house. In fact, we just ate the last of the Thanksgiving leftovers for lunch.
It's a running joke in my family that the Albers will take home and eat any leftovers. With 9 mouths to feed you do not waste food!

I love leftovers! I use them for work lunches. We had 2 Thanksgiving dinners, one on Thursday and one on Friday. We have LOTS of leftovers. Looking forward to some turkey sandwiches this week! ;)

I love left overs! we do save them and take them to work or eat them for lunches the next day or a few days later! left over meats may be turned into other meals such as casseroles or stirfrys...

I definitely save all leftovers. I love having leftovers to eat for lunches. With thanksgiving though, I usually save the leftovers and nobody eats them. It's kinda weird. Well... except for the pie, the pies always disappear quickly! :giggle

I love leftovers. It's such a great feeling to have tomorrow's lunch or dinner already made!
