There are some things around the house that just are let go ... for like a really long time. Today, I finally took down the Christmas decorations. Had the little ladder out so I could reach the top of the tree (I'm kinda short and our tree and ceilings are pretty high). So I figured while it is out ... let me go around and replace any lightbulbs in the ceilings and fans that need changing. Done, no biggie. Then while up close and personal with the ceiling fans, I notice the blades have not been dusted in a really long time. Done, no biggie. Then while in the Sun Room ... I notice those horizontal wooden blinds ... ugh! If you have these suckers any where in your home, and you do the cleaning yourself ... you must know what I am talking about. Cleaning them has got to be the worst task on the planet. The dust sticks like glue, there's a million slats to be cleaned (Both sides!!!) and then those darn strings going up and down that get in the way.

We have 6 windows in that Sun Room. Only 3 of the blinds are clean ... and I gave up. I HATE cleaning wooden blinds. Has to be my least fave household chore ever. :dizzy

Wondering what chore leaves you running for the hills ...

Putting away my laundry. Definitely. Love that the kids are old enough now to put theirs away, I really should start giving them extra allowance to do mine too. Our bedroom is in the basement and this time of the year is so, so cold, and I pretty much go down there only to go to bed.

five boys...oh lawd deliver me from cleaning the toilets! ugh
i'd rather clean bathrooms and toilets ... but then again i only have 1 boy in the house. so that's not a fair comparison. what is it with boys and toilets??? gross.

my kids totally have to do this themselves too. might be one of the few graces with having teens in the house???

Ironing!!! I hate it with a might for some reason ! Can take anything else over ironing... Lord! Why do we need to wear ironed clothes!!?

How funny I was literally just talking to my co-worker about blinds! But I'll do those any day rather than a bathroom after one of the boys!

I haven't ironed anything in years, so I probably can't use that one, but I do hate doing it because it feels so pointless. And since neither of us has a job that requires fancy things like dress shirts that are ironed, it is.

I don't vacuum. I just don't. It's the one household task my husband does. I'll do anything else. I just hate vacuuming. And killing spiders.

I hate putting the laundry away as well, mainly because nothing ever fits in the drawers neat, so the nicely folded clothes generally end up jammed in, which in the long run, defeats the purpose of being folded.

:dizzy

Doing dishes is my kryptonite. I hate it. I'd do everything else in the house just if I didn't have to do that. Unfortunately (or fortunately) I do have a cleaning lady that does everything else...but I still have to do the darn dishes. How'd I manage that?

Ugh. I hate all cleaning but bathrooms are the worst! I totally agree on the boys bathroom being the worst. I make my boys clean their own toilet and then after they've "cleaned" it, I'll do a second swipe. It's just eeeewwwww!

All of them? Can that be my answer?

Hmm... pick one.... Changing the Sheets/Laundry. I'm ok with regular laundry, but the whole take off/put on sheets and wash thing... well, ugh!

I keep the bathroom tidy, and spot clean every other day for my boys bathrooms. Love me some clorox wipes! It makes it less gross, if you know what I mean. I have a cleaning lady that comes in Bi-Weekly that really brightens and makes the bathroom sparkle. Thank Goodness of her!

oh, dear, Jenn. now I have to look at my blinds. yikes. Cleaning the blinds may beat putting laundry away. But I swear, laundry is the second curse of Eve - never ending. Gave up and bought these - FlipFold Jr. and Sr.- quick and simple so my guys' shirts and unis and t-shirts and sweatshirts and you get it get into drawers and Where They Should Be So You Can Find It - worth every penny:

Dusting, cleaning baseboards and vacuuming stairs. Bathroom i don't mind, just one of those and two of us..

Folding socks!!!! We have a serious sock monster in the house...plus my sig other doesn't understand how to take his socks off without flipping them inside out...drives me bonkers!!! :furious Fortunately, he now knows that I will fold all the laundry, except his socks - and he happily does that for me.:yippee

Folding and hanging the laundry when it's done. I don't mind carrying it to the machine and drying but the last part....UGH! :thumbsdowns

This is why we have one drawer and just dump all the socks in there, loose! You can fit them together yourself LOL!! :giggle

We have wood blinds on 16 of the ginormous windows in our house. Blinds are white. Dust is white. I pretend I don't see it. :giggle

I don't really mind laundry or dishes too much. We don't iron except for very special occasions. And actually, a lot of housework gets put in the ignore it category. :blush Of the chores I actually do, cleaning bathrooms is probably the one I dislike the most.

Ha ha! My house too - the kids all leave their socks inside out. So... now, I pile them up in each of their own sock piles, and then make them turn them inside out and match. The only way I have found they will comply is if they are watching tv. I don't mind, so I don't have to do it!

read my tag line. ironing... If it needs ironing I generally throw it away. I did manage to iron a shirt for my husband to wear to our son's wedding,,,,:dizzy:tantrum
