Leap Day! Pad Patter 28 Feb

I don't much think about Leap Year/Day but I'd planned to go to Dunkin and get a $1 coffee but it got so cold and windy I'm having my own homemade hot latte. It is a Dunkin' style 'double double'.

But this reminds me I have 1 friend who is a Leap baby. Must go on FB and send her Birthday wishes! (Paul McCartney in Moscow singing You Say it's Your Birthday!

Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon was from my town. 2019 was the 50th anniversary of the moon walk and the town has been celebrating for over a year. The town motto is "First on the Moon".

I knew Neil and his parents. His parents were very good friends of my grandparents. Both of my parents also knew him. My dad was the same age and Mom knew him through her parents. He was the nicest man and his parents were adorable.

that's a great story and it doesn't seem so random any more - more respectful and honourable!
