Do you have a layouts ideas list?
While doing my laundry I just had the best idea for a layout but I can't/won't scrap it now. So then I thought about making a list with all my brilliant ideas so that whenever I don't know what to scrap, I can just look at my list.

Do you have a list like that?
And if you do: how long is it?
Do you actually use it, or is it just a place to hoard ideas, like I do with free books for my Kindle?

I wish I only had a list! I have a folder full of ideas, with sub folders for pages to scrap-lift, photos, & quotes. Then on actual paper, I have a 2 page (so far) list of songs that have provided inspiration at times when I couldn't act on it. I do use it, but not as often as I probably should. And I also have apx 1000 of those free Kindle books that I'll probably never get to!

I don't have a list. I just look at my unscrapped photos, pick some and go. But I know a few people have mentioned having spreadsheets of things they intend to scrap. If you search for "spreadsheet" I bet you can find it (I'd look myself but I'm on my phone in a car right now!) but they talk about how they use them and I think someone shared the blank version of their sheet, too.

I tend to jot down ideas here and there in the notes app on my phone. I also keep a "to scrap" folder that I copy older photos into so that I will remember that I want to scrap them someday. I need to get a little more organized about it though, cause I'm starting to feel like some stories are slipping through the cracks.

I've tried to start a spreadsheet. There's definitely a thread we discussed it. Also, started a bullet journal, and I have a spread for each album in my head, so I can write them down. I do try to go through my list when I'm actually working on the project, but a lot of the time, I go with Lorry's thing.... look at pics and go.

I just go by pictures or at least for the most part. The song I did a week ago was the first I think I did from an idea I got but then again it was related to an art journal. For me a list would stay a list or get lost. But it is a great idea. I have started making lists on my computer which has been a good thing so far (cuz I don't lose it). I just hadn't got to a scrapping one yet.

When I first starting scrapbooking I did. I would list ideas and titles I had come up with in my head. My head just seem to make those connections anymore! LOL! Now I just find a kit I like and look for photos.

Yes. I use Microsoft OneNote. I capture inspiration images in one section, and have a list on another page for ideas. Some roll off without ever being done though.
I also keep an inspiration board on Pinterest.

I definitely keep a list... I'm one of those that uses a spreadsheet. Here's the link the other thread where we were talking about it and where I posted a link to my blank spreadsheet if anyone would like it. :)

Karen...am I supposed to be able to click on the yellow word to see it? (on that other post?)
is un clickable for me....

Bernie: if you are talking about LO to make... I think I usually go with the flow of the kits of my CTs or the photos I get .... I used to scrap every photo we took, I was doing a mix 365 with 52 weeks until 2012, no matter what theme the kit was, I would scrap chronologically and printed all 2011 and half 2012...but once I broke the sequence... never got back....
I also usually would scrap according to the mood as much s the kits allow....
but I do have a huge list of events I would like to scrap to print on books..... one day...maybe LOL

wow that is super organised ... I scrap by the seat of my pants all the time :giggle

i so dumb with onenote and excell. I will never have order...

I have a notebook (or 5) filled with layout ideas. I keep adding ideas but for some reason never check any off! LOL. Guess I am a much better dreamer than do-er. ;)

I used to really struggle w/ this. Since I changed my approach to scrapping and went more with a PL approach, it's much easier for me. I scrap my year in 4 quarters. Mostly what I need to get done is pretty self-explanatory: week 1, week 2, week 3, etc. However, sometimes I will have a special event or a photo series that I want to highlight more. That's where my scrap list comes in. I have a Scrapbooking To-Do list on Todoist (thanks to Aaron for the tip on Todoist... I LOVE it!). I'll make a task for each of the separate layouts I want to do, such as taking the dogs on a walk in the woods, or a 5th grade school performance, etc. Other than that, I just go with whatever.

I do find that having a list of page ideas for special projects, such as Document Your December, is super helpful, though!

Oh I love that ToDoist! I'm so gonna use it.

And thanks to everyone else. I will definitely make a list and maybe I'll use it, maybe I don't. I like lists though. ;)
And the really organized list of Karen is awesomely organized. I wish I was awesome like that. But I know I'll lack keeping it updated. sigh.

Also, started a bullet journal, and I have a spread for each album in my head, so I can write them down. I do try to go through my list when I'm actually working on the project, but a lot of the time, I go with Lorry's thing.... look at pics and go.

I sort of have this too. When "stories" come to mind, I add them to the journal.

My photo books are chronological, so before I finalized layouts to send them to PP to get printed, I check against a calendar to see if I'm missing anything in that month and try to add those little details. It may end up being just a little bullet list on part of a layout.
