Okay, so I'm a little early for my time zone, but I know the New Year is fast approaching in Australia and New Zealand and other countries far from me!

So, what are you doing on your last day of 2023? Are you partying? Staying up late to see the first MOC challenge? Oh, and the clock change. LOL! Going to bed like normal?

I plan on making a charcuterie type board for people to graze on and get photos uploaded for December and ready for the new year! Plus, my normal getting folders cleaned up and ready for 2024 pages.

What about you?

My kids were kind enough to share their germs with me....and now I'm sick. Hopefully not for long, though, MOC is coming! We don't really have any plans. We are staying in on New Year's Eve. My 16-year-old son is going to a get-together with his friends, my daughter is working until 10, and that just leaves my 13-year-old son and my husband who will most likely fall asleep well before the new year arrives. We always eat pork & saurkraut on New Year's Day which I'm looking forward to.

I already have my folders ready for 2024 digital layouts - especially folder ready for MOC.
Today will be a fairly quiet day for us. We plan on a barbecue for lunch with Ken having a piece of steak from the meat tray my Aunt gave us for Christmas.
If I have time I may get some card making done for the greeting cards I sell in our local Craft Store.

We have church 9-11am then we'll probably eat, play games & watch movies the rest of the day and night at home. I'm totally okay with going to bed early, but I don't think my kids will let me.

DS is going to spend the evening with his GF, so just DH and I here. I'm hoping to get in a serious scrap session and probably clean up folders for the new year. I am determined to get my PL caught up this weekend! I'll probably go to bed when Chance gets home. No going out and partying for us...too many crazies out there haha

Dec 31 is my birthday! I'm going to sleep in, then head to Starbucks for my free birthday coffee, get pedicures with my husband, watch the KC Chiefs game, then we have dinner reservations at a Brazilian Steakhouse. We'll probably be in a food coma after that so we'll watch the ball drop at home in our PJs! I had no desire to go to a big New Years Eve celebration this year, so I'm just gonna take it easy! I'll probably be awake for the first MOC challenge drop tomorrow night, so I can read it and sleep on it and do the scrap on Monday!

I will be waiting up until the first challenge is posted, and depending on how ambitious I am, I might even try to scrap it before I go to bed!!!

First I'll be walking in town with my Sunday walking friend like I do every Sunday. Then . . . I'm not sure for most of the day . . . I do have some fun snacky appetizer and easy foods I plan to eat. I intend to stay up past my usual bedtime (10:00ish) and watch a webpage that counts down the official time, hopefully with my family, though they have been less interested in doing anything for New Years Eve in recent years, so I'll know precisely when it's the new year. :woot It will be the latest I've stayed up since last New Year's Eve but I can do it. I'm determined to scrap the first MOC challenge in the first hour of the year, Eastern US Time, as I have done for the last couple of years.

11 o'clock Mass, followed by Sunday brunch at a local restaurant. And then all eyes and ears dlrected toward MOC12, I can't wait!

Jason is on a round of dayshift and works 645a to 7p but I am getting our granddaughter earlier than I had planned. Who knows Hunter is doing. I am hoping to scrap some but with Kasey here that is kind of hit or miss. Sometimes she leaves my laptop alone and other days not so much. {she turned my screen upside down. I had to use my iPad to google how to fix it!} I need to set up 2024 folders and do a little more organizing of didgi stuff. I'm sure I will be up way later than I should be...kinda like now...so I might see midnight.

We throw a fondue dinner party every year for friends - 3 couples plus our kids. This year it will be 11 of us. We live in AZ but watch the ball drop in NYC (10 pm here) - that way we can celebrate and our friends can head home before too many crazies hit the roads.

Just a normal day here.. we do not stay up to see the ball drop .. sad I know but we are just not the "party" couple lol I will toast my Grandparents at dinner with a glass of wine as today would be their 98th Anniversary.. Grandma said they got married on New Years Eve so they would always have a party to go to :)

Have a Happy & Healthy New Year everyone !!!

There's a special thanksgiving service at church this morning. My husband and daughters are leading the worship and praise. I'm not attending as I've come down with the flu and am contagious. It's likely to be a take it easy day for me this year. There are often fireworks in the neighbourhood going off around midnight.

I will be comforting my dog who doesn’t like the fireworks and make some tasty food. It will be an easygoing evening.

Just finished watching my church's service on YouTube. The rest of the day will be whatever I feel like doing (still not feeling good so lots of rest in my days). I might scrap some. I will stay up to watch the ball drop but then I am a night owl to begin with.

Love to read everyone's plans. Just a quiet night here for us. Then tomorrow all the Christmas decorations come down! Excited to see everyone's MOC creations!

We are usually driving New Year’s Eve - this year is no exception. We will be spending the night at Universal Studios and meeting a college friend for dinner (kind of early for NYE). Hopefully we will see the fireworks at Universal tonight from our room - that will be fun! The first and second we will be ignoring the Muggle world for the Wizarding World. Then on to our usual rental in southern Florida for Jan and Feb. Should be fun!

We see midnight regularly in our household, so NYE is sort of a normal day otherwise.

Nothing exciting here, hubby will have been fast asleep by 8pm and I rarely see midnight anymore LOL
I have started a new medication that has my sleep schedule all messed up, so I have been asleep by 9pm (which is unusual for me)

Hope everyone has a great 2024, and stay safe in your new years festivities! Cheers with my coffee cup :D
