Kitchen Aid Food Processor?

@Dalis is super cheap too!!!! we payed £17 in 2012 I think, on sale because it was almost £30 at the time, now it costs £20, which, think as if it was US$20 for you..... I was heavily smoking at the time and cigarettes packs were almost £7...so, yes, is awesome with the bottles that no need to move the liquid (which for me leads to disaster :rofl !!!!!

I know, in my head I couldn't think of the kind of appliance it was, I knew it did a whole lot of stuff similarly to the insta pot so maybe that is why I typed insta pot, but I didn say Ninja, didn't I?
Sarita wasn't here with me, she only came now with coffees, and, for you to get the dimension of my neurological dumbness.....
:imok
we were paying into our credit cards and I was trying to log into one of them, and I kept typing the parts of the password it was asking me for, I was at it for 10 minutes and frustrated I said to Sarita the keyboard is not working, it isn't typing!!! and she looks up from her own accounts , looks once, and again, and she says

is NUMBERS, mum, the NUMBERS not the password
:giggle:giggle:giggle
No worries my friend .. yes you did say Ninja!! I did think of getting a
Ninja instapot too so maybe that is what happened. Lately I cannot think and I am stuck talking with CJ and can’t remember a word.. he gets frustrated as I stop mid sentence! I chalk it up to getting old and I am entitled to forgetting things.. most of the time though he is in sync with me so I can get away with not saying the word.. lol! Hugs and say hi to Sarita for us!

I have a Kitchen Aid mixer and a Cuisinart food processor, and I love them both! I've had my mixer for 23+ years and the Cuisinart for about 10 (I broke my other one by not caring for it properly... eek!)

FOR ME TOO, that is my only struggle w/ my VITAMIX, the mess I make when I am pouring the smoothie into the cups!

Me too! Sorry, Cynthia @MrsPeel I didn't see this yesterday. That food pro is super pretty! I love a red appliance!

I have a Kitchen Aid Mixer, and a Cuisinart food processor. I've had the food processor for about 16-18 years now. I can't quite remember which year we bought it, but I know where we lived. :giggle The one I have isn't available anymore, but if this one ever breaks, I will replace it with another cusinart since it's lasted so long.

The biggest thing I say when looking at buying a food processor is to know what you are putting in the chute, and make sure the chute works for you. Mine has a chute that's a little narrower than the average potato, so I often have to cut potatoes in half in order to put them into my food pro. If you are mostly using the blades inside, the chute won't matter as much. Oh, but I love that my chute has a hole in the bottom so I can drizzle in oil when I make mayo or whatever.
Also, check how it (the chute, the whole thing) locks into place. My mom's had a little plastic piece that broke on the chute. We then had to use a knife to make it work (Disclaimer: So dangerous! Don't do it!!). She didn't want to get a new one since that one was only 3 years old, and worked fine except for where the plastic piece broke.

I don't have a Kitchen Aid Food Pro, but I've had my mixer for going on 14 years, and it's still going strong!

Hey ladies,
I remember we had a thread a couple (or 4 or 5? LOL) years ago, and I know many of you have some sort of combination.
We are cooking a lot at home and have gone in 3 years through 3 food processors, (the last 2 in the past 10 month though) cheap ones that burn when you use them for longer than 5 minutes, so we started talking and Sarita said she has some money saved and she may invest...
She had mentioned Kitchen Aid a while ago but we both said it was expensive.
But now, we thought we could go half & half -and this excites us more than looking at clothes, purses or shoes :rofl

So off we went to the Kitchen Aid site.... and oh my.... We are in love.....
We came to this, Artisan 5K that does pretty much everything and costs £399
which would be doable now, we want to know... do any of you who have it think is worth it?
I mean will it last? what is your experience?

we are here and kinda tempted to buy NOW, but we thought better get some input if you are around?

@bestcee didn't you say you have one?
Can't think who as my memory is worse than bad....
Oh she's pretty in red! As I told you on the phone I loved mine for 20 yrs (different model than this) until I broke the plastic tab that secures the lid. I bought a cheaper brand at Costco and it broke within a year. They replaced it, but next time I'm buying either Cuisinart or Kitchen Aid again...
