Kids costumes

We're doing Despicable Me 2 -- two minions (the 4 year old gets a hard hat with flashing lights and megaphone) and an Agnes with the unicorn she won at the carnival ("It's so fluffy I could die!") These are DH's projects; he enjoys putting these ideas together for the kids. At his request, I bought overalls for all three kids, yellow hoodies for the boys and a striped t-shirt for the girl. We just need to figure out how to do the hair on top of the hoodies, find some goggles, and figure out how to make DD's long hair stick up. (I have a couple of ideas how to make it shorter.)

My son didn't want to dress up this year (he's 8). I told him that was fine, but he couldn't go trick or treating without a costume. He finally gave in and is going to be a skeleton. I guess our trick or treating days are numbered...

Ok, you ladies have me all excited about halloween and all the amazing pics we will be seeing soon!

We don't celebrate Halloween but we used to let them attend a church "alternative" where they could dress up as any kind of animal or inanimate object that could've been on the ark (Noah's Ark). I dressed mine up as a cat, dog, raccoon, elephant, butterfly, frog, and a caterpillar!

my little guys are in costume probably 50% of the time anyway... either as a muscled spider man or ninjas. sometimes darth vader makes an appearance, too. we usually do a trunk-or-treat vs trick-or-treating...

Ashley - if you are looking for my little pony, I found a rainbow wig at my target that closely resembles one their, forgive me I can't remember the names, mane? and maybe use a tutu with it? What I know about My Little Pony is limited to my nieces and a trip to Build a Bear.

Got off easy.. my son is going as a baseball player - out the cost of a jersey, reusing his uniform, and he's running around using his batting helmet tied to his neck with a plastic bag insert for a candy catcher.

My boys dressed up as Fishermen for a school event. If everything still fits we might go with the same theme.

I have Minnie Mouse and a pink Power Ranger this year. I didn't get a good pic of the little one at Disneyland this weekend, but I did get a good one of my power ranger, which despite my urging for a different costume, does actually look pretty darn cute.
