It's national kale day! Yep it is! Bet you didn't know that? I sure didn't! Do you like kale? Have you tried kale chips? Put it in a smoothie? I only eat kale in salads. That's about it. I don't like it nor do I dislike it. How about you?

Not a big fan at all, would rather swap for baby spinach

I don't buy it fresh very often because I just haven't learned to use it well yet. But I love when I find it in prepared products. One of my favorite hummus flavors has kale in it, and there's this vegan kale "pesto" I discovered a couple months ago that's awesome on lots of things. https://www.doanythingfoods.com/products/kale-pesto

I love spinach, but kale's a little too bitter for my taste. We used to make those green smoothies and we never liked them the kale.

I only like kale when I can’t taste it haha usually in smoothies or salads.

Did you see the recent study where they imaged fetuses in utero while the mom ate different foods? Kale made them grimace! That pretty much sums it up for me! I’m much more likely to use spinach, which I don’t love either but at least you can disguise it in other things.

Could you share a link to the article? That's so interesting!

we grow Kale in the back garden. One of our family's favourite treats is "Kale Crisps"

I've never actually bought kale myself, but I love it in that Italian zuppa toscana (sp?) soup from Olive Garden. Yummy!

Not a big fan, it ruins the taste of a smoothie so I stick to spinach for those. But, I'll eat it in a salad or don't mind it at all in a bean-y type soup. I've tried it various other ways, but it usually just remains a bit too bitter and tough (even the baby variety) to pursue often.

I love it in some soups..and I've had it In salads but I'm..not gonna go out and buy bundles of it..it's not my favorite thing in the world... like a chocolate bar or something... it's just.. ahhh edible ..if that makes sense...

I have a love/hate relationship with kale. I know it's good for me, so I try to eat it. The only way I really like it is to make them into chips, but then they need to be eaten right away or they'll get soggy. They're okay in soups if they're cut into small enough pieces. Salads are tough, literally! When I make a kale salad I feel like I'm chewing forever just to finish the thing, so I don't eat many of those. And they give a "green" flavor to smoothies to the point where I can't taste the fruit.

The only thing I really liked kale in was when I made pesto with it. I used elephant kale and it was quite tasty. It had a nice zing to it, but I didn't see any today.

I did see some at the farmer's market this morning, but I opted for fresh spinach instead. I love spinach and I put a huge handful into my morning smoothie every day. Our market lasts until the end of the month so I may break down and buy a bunch on the last day.
