I just had to post! This book had me riveted to my couch. I crazily downloaded it on my tiny phone, and was too engrossed to switch to a bigger screen! Amazingly moving book. Based on real people! Go get it and read! lo

Totally agree! I loved this book! (and kinda hated it at times too... ya know?) We even did this as a book club book in September if you want to read about other people's thoughts too Anne! :)

Thanks so much @Karen for posting that link. When I read Anne's post last night, I recognized the cover and thought I'd read the book not too long ago, but couldn't remember the plot. Reading the Amazon description only sounded familiar; I didn't remember details. So I searched my Goodreads, but I couldn't find a review. I was so confused!

Now, rereading my posts at the book club thread you linked, I see I had to return the book without having read it because it was due at the library and on request by someone else. I had completely forgotten. The brain is truly amazing.

I have a backlog of books I want to read right now, but I hope to return to Lilac Girls someday. Thanks for reminding me @AnneofAlamo :)

Same here, I had to return it and waited over a month to download it again. It was gripping and all three of the main characters were so well developed, great read.
