:clapIt is June!!! :clapWelcome to a new month, and a new month of challenges here at the Lilypad!

I can't believe we are in June! (How did that happen??!) With that said, I am looking forward to all the fun things that June has in store for us!!!! I love June as for me it always feels like Summer is here, finally, after a cold winter and a fickle Spring!!

Anyway, let's get on with the challenge for the month!

I wanted to host the Inspiration challenge this month, and thought it would be fun to be inspired with a simple color palette!

The challenge is real simple!! :agree We are doing black and white with a pop of color! (***Please limit your "pop" of color to one item only - could be an element or paint etc. - you get the idea, but by limiting it to only one item of color it stands out.)

I love this inspirational challenge as it reminds me of the childhood riddle, "What is black and white and red/read all over?"... "a Newspaper!" :giggle and for me that is what inspired this challenge!

Here is the page I created for my Inspirational B/W with pop color page: My pop of color is red on the red threaded heart.

As you can see from my page as an example, I have a lot of black and white papers and elements on my page, with only one red element. What this does, is it draws the viewers eye directly to the heart, which is the basis for my page. Love and choosing each other. It is a clean page and balanced with just the right amount of black and white.

Now let's see your page with Black and White with a pop of color!

**Note: When posting in the gallery, please post to the member gallery and then tag the "Inspiration challenge" and tag all the designers of the products used.

Also: Please link pages in the forum threads for challenges with the Copy GALLERY BB code

This helps the Pollys for checking challenges, plus everyone for leaving Love in the gallery!!! Thanks!

=======================================

Remember our monthly challenge rules:

Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the June Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread.

The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month:

2 challenges = 10% off
4 challenges = 20% off
6 challenges = 30% off

If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).

I can't wait to see your page, and how the Black/White and 1 color pop inspires you!

Hi Everyone... Good Morning! I just love! a "pop of color" layouts and challenges...Sometimes it's hard to choose which item to be that just right "pop of color" selected / needed to make the just right impact to tell your layout's story...but I think that is part of the fun creative side of scrapping / and or / Art Journaling...Red is always my favorite color of choice to create that "pop" color moment...and ironically, here in this layout, and where I live , the "STOP" Sign is always red...So, it is just the right color choice...I also feel that it signifies , that round and round feeling , that an important decision takes to make...and in the end, you just want to make it as soon as you can, so you can "Stop" worrying about it and move forward with the next big decision...but do we ever really stop worrying about those important decisions?...I know, sometimes, at least for me , it is sometimes hard to know if we made the right choice , in any given situation...Hence , the indecision and sometimes agonizing choices , we sometimes have to make in life...It also relates , very well , to the black & white tones in this layout...Is any decision , ever really just black & / or white? ...Hard to say?...Sometimes there is a lot of grey area there , to ponder about , too...making the decision even more difficult...

*Thank You! for this challenge @cfile
