Journal/Planner Pens

Sadly... no Staedtler pens at my Office Depot. Since I wanted to walk out with a pen today, I ended up with a pack of Pentel Energel Needle Tips per @IntenseMagic's suggestion and a 2 pack of Zebras per @Cath_ and @bcgal00's suggestion (although I opted for the F-402 for the finer point). These will get me started and then I'll see if I want to add some Staedtlers to my next Amazon order (is there such a thing as too many pens?).
No, of course, there is no such thing as too many pens (don't judge me, I am a pen addict LOL).

No. There is never a thing as too many pens. Especially in different colors and styles.

I'm a pen addict too. I blame it on my parents.

I love my Pilot Precise V5 Extra Fine pens for every day writing in my bullet journal. I have Staedtlers, too, but now I need these (great price, too!):

I never should have opened this thread.... says the powerless-to-stop-buying-pens-person. :giggle

@tkradtke Michaels has the Staedtlers pens so you could use good coupons... :)

I actually found Staedler pens at Target ... I bought a small 6-pc set to keep in my purse, and I have a larger set at home. But now I NEED that 36-pen set ...

Oh sure... but I'll also come out with more yarn, and supplies to make crafts that I'll never get around to actually making :giggle

Well... that's the price you have to pay for good planner pens I guess! :giggle

Here's the early report. I think I've decided that I don't like super fine point pens. I should have stuck with @Cath_ 's suggestion of the F-301 instead of going for the F-402. I like the pen just fine, but the point is too small for my tastes. I like the Pentel Energel's the Jan suggested. They're Needle point, but the line is thicker and it doesn't bother me. It is still finer than what I would have picked to use on a normal basis, but given my limited space for writing in my planner, I think it has to be the needle point. No smearing and no bleeding through so far! I still think I'm going to sneak some Staedtler's into my next Amazon order just to compare.

I use a Uni- ball 207 a lot too. It's not super fine, but it's finer than a ballpoint. I didn't suggest it though, because some of mine smear and some don't.

Did someone say pens? Oh I'm such a pen-fanatic! Sharpie used to be a sister company to the one I worked at (until they sold us off) - we could get great employee discounts on all Sharpie products ... man, I miss those days! I still have way more pens and markers than I will ever use - but a girl can never have too many writing utensils, right!?

Feel free to pass some out. Plenty of us might volunteer. :giggle

I heard Walgreens was having a clearance or something on sharpies and Inkjoys for crazy cheap. But I didn't find any when I went this evening. Boo.

I might have to go check my local W-G out tomorrow when I pick up some meds ... I LOVE ink joy! :-)

I have tons of pens even before I started using a planner.
Now that I do have a planner, I keep coming back to my Micron pens. I like that it doesn't bleed and it's very sturdy when I write.
