5 Things that Inspired me:
1. Double Exposure photo - sort of creating a layout divided horizontally and having two totally different feels in each half.
2. The journaling in the one block with Art as the title - having some of my journaling in black and some in color to highlight key points.
3. Tennis shoe Photo - used for perspective on my photo of my running shoe
4. All the circles (mirrors, typewriter keys, color samples, food bowls) - inspired my inclusion of the circular journaling labels
5. Stairs in the bottom left - inspired my big vertical exclamation point - slightly off center.

Requirements.....
1. One title
2. More than 2 lines of journaling
3. More than 3 photos.
4. 4 Patterned papers (mini triangles, plaid, scalloped and text papers)
5. More than 5 different kind of elements (string, flowers, staples, stamps, word strips, paint)

 

For Day 13 - One Word Journaling Challenge

 

Day 15 - Paper blending Technique



A blue cloud paper was blended using screen mode with a large colored dot paper. Those papers were then merged together and blended with overlay mode with a white grungy paper...created a colorful, but more muted effect.

The journaling.....
This man arrived here on a crazy day. I mean, c'mon Donald Trump is becoming our President. This man couldn't talk, his fever was scorching and he was filled up with fluid. Pneumonia, I heard the doctor say. So sick, but alone. How could it be a man who served in the Navy, commander of a ship in Vietnam, married just 12 years ago. With a sister. Nieces. Nephews. Alone. Placed in a an overflow room at the back of the ER. Still so alone. But wait, I hear someone saying his name. She looks quiet, but determined. She's asking aloud, "Where's room 25?" She's walking quickly back down the hall. She comes in. She leans over, takes his hand and says, "Hey, Unkie Jay, I just found out. I am here now!!"

Day 22 - Filled it Up Challenge

 

Every MLK Jr. weekend, I take a trip down to his monument. It's one of my fav places in DC. I snapped this picture last week and while I was there this Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers song came on....seemed particularly perfect. The angle of the photo fit it all perfect. It's now my screensaver!!!

 

For Day 29 - Photoless challenge!! Reminder to remember that I am all these things...even if it isn't right there on the tip of my tongue....

I was inspired by the Vintage look, the typewriter font and the elements leading off the page!! Also the typewriter made me think of a newspaper background.
