January 9 - Travel related

I am going to use this layout as the cover of our Port Aransas album. The journey wasn't as bad as I expected (two small dogs were the unknown), and we all had fun so this was a great travel experience for us all! Oh by the way, it does have a journal card tucked into the upper right corner in case it's hard to spot :)

 
A picture from the neighbouring town Heusden. The town was fortified in the 16th century. After suffering huge damages in WWII the town was restored to it's former glory. The result is a charming town that takes you way back in time.
This building is one of the 134 national monuments in the historic inner city.

From a trip last August ...this is Gold Beach OR

The motel where we checked in , was a few businesses down the street from where we stayed... an interesting situation, apparently due to the
current economy. It was a much larger place and out behind on the ocean side of things, they had this glass movie screen set up. The movie ran every night at dark and changed nightly. It was preceeded by a short travel piece about the area, which was interesting...
Since we had not checked it out in the daylight , we had NO idea where we were going and found it a difficult walk, with uneven ground and grass, and it was very cold, so we only stayed for the intro movie.
