January 7: Collage-Large Number of Photos

I wasn't sure what I could come up for 20+ photos, so we took photos of some of my daughter's collection of Nintendo Amiibos. Though she is now 28 years old, she is autistic and has grown up with Nintendo products and still really enjoys the games, the old magazines, plushies, and toys. She was happy to contribute the title and text to help me with my scrapbooking challenge!

Well this was so darn fun, really got me thinking! And I had a blast trying to figure out how to cut this picture up and keep it together. So, yay, learned something too! Thanks so much for the challenge!

I am just so indecisive that I had to do it twice. One color and one Black and White. I like both and just couldn't make up my mind. I hope its not against the[>] to post both. Let me know which one you guys like better!!

Both are beautiful but I think the one with the color photos really pops!

Great challenge Anne! When I first read this, I wondered for a minute what on earth I could have 20 photos of... then I realized this would be a perfect way to honor my mom. She passed away this morning and it will be therapeutic for me to pull photos of her and remember her wonderful life. Hopefully I can get to it soon!

so sorry fo r your loss of oyur mother - know many say that scrappin a loved one is therapeutic. wish it was for me. its been over 2 months since i lost my boy ( furbaby) and still can not look at his photos. i dont even like to look at other dog p ages. too hard.

@AnneofAlamo , I honestly thought this challenge was going to kill me. If you feel like you've seen these pictures before, it's because living in Canada's capital, we go to a lot of light shows on Parliament Hill.

Here is mine.... took like forever getting all the squares lined up and then enhancing each of the photos... but the hardest part was choosing the background paper....

I started this challenge out with high hopes and good intentions - I've been primarily a photo-oriented pocket scrapper so putting lots of photos on a page sounds good to me - and then it just devolved into a total mess. One of the scrapbook skills I am practicing right now is letting things be "good enough" - I've learned that I won't love it until it's perfect, and perfect takes forever. This layout sadly does not even cross the line into "good enough," but it's good enough to meet this challenge and let me move on to something new. ;) Gotta keep that momentum going!

Oh and also, @IntenseMagic, look, I’m already putting the Quick Selection tool you taught me about to good use! (The Christmas ornaments - the angels and the foil star.) It handled like a dream. Extract all the things!

Perfect is overrated IMHO. Measuring yourself against others is also hard not to do or has been for me anyway but: Learning to let go & move on as you are doing is so freeing & absolutely fine :) it's the acceptance part than can be hard to achieve but sounds like you are getting there :)

20 Photo Page...Whew!...That's A Lot Of Photos!...I Ended Up Making A Collage Of Sorts About The Most
Relevant Thing In My Life These Days...Winter,Snow,Wind,Cold...I Literally Have Exactly 20 Photos In My
Collage Layout Plus A Few Extra Elements & Just 1 White Background Paper...That's The Least Amount Of
Papers Or Elements That I Have Used In A Layout In A Long Time...

*For My January Collage Layout-I Used:

*Glisten-Dawn Inskip
*Snow And Ice-Kristin Aagard

I thought that this would be easy but here I am.. ready after 5 hours :).. finally done. But it was fun anyway. Thanks Anne :)

You'd have to read the journalling to truly understand this one, but essentially it says that it's taken me until this last year to truly embrace the fun and silly side of my husband and not insist on only 'serious' photos so I can scrap them! :) Home alone with no kids (and we have the big adult/teenage kind) for a week! Woo hoo! This was tonight and I knew this challenge was there, so I just kept clicking! :)
